I hardly write reviews unless it is REALLY BAD or surprisingly brilliant. This place unfortunately is really really (really) bad. I'm surprised they are stull open and operating tbh. 
So I Thought I'd try something different from my usual take out choice and opted for Gillingham kebab, ignoring (unwisely) the bad reviews and being tempted by some of the seemingly nice kebab combos on offer. The food didn't even turn up. I called an HOUR AFTER placing my order  (via hungry house) and staff member couldn't understand me (which is why he may have come across as abrupt) and I was then handed over to someone else who, tbf was kind enough, but this was only part of an act. He assured me food was on its way but apparently it had left the restaurant 30 minutes ago! He was going to call the driver and call me back in 5 minutes. 
10 minutes later (& now hour and half since I ordered my food), still no driver, no food and no call and the same non-English speaking staff member answered who had no solution for me and no one else was there now. He was definitely abrupt. Couldn't refund me only the boss could. I asked to cancel my order and if driver does turn up I will turn him away. No one turned up. 
Hungry house was brilliant who refunded me straight awa. But it still doesn't help the fact that was I meant to have my order at 7.15pm didn't have dinner till 10pm (after I ended up ordering from my normal take out in Strood). Oh and what excuse did Gillingham kebab give hungry house for this unpleasant experience? The roads were closed so they couldn't get to me?! I travel these roads for work and drove past the restaurant a couple hours earlier! There were some road works but no road closures! And there are more than 2 routes to take to get to my address! 
Honestly, DO NOT waste your time with this place. Read the 1 star reviews for honesty. For every 1 star reviews, 'someone' is entering a 5 star review! Coincidence? Or bogus? I've made up my mind and won't even look at this place. Seriously, don't waste your time or money!

So went to gillingham grill for pizza enticed by their BOGOF deal. noticed that they had pizza prices above the options that were less than half the price of the BOGOF deals. 1.99 for a 7 inch,but if you got the deal you'd have 2 for 4.99. Called them out on it and they said it was to "Discourage you from getting the deal".I told them it discouraged me from buying anything from them and walked out.

TL;DR. Gillingham grill are scumbags avoid them
