The reviews did it justice. Lovely welcoming staff. It's dog friendly indoors which is a massive plus I had the best steak pie ever!! A proper steak pie, not one of those pretenders with a top crust and stew in a ramekin, but a proper shortcrust steak pie packed with meat, and a huge jug of gravy with a flavour to die for. Cracking mash & mushy peas that stick to your ribs. It's fair to say I enjoyed my lunch and I'd highly recommend it if you're in the area.
First time here. What a find fabulous carvery. Really tasty. Meat cooked perfectly. All staff welcoming attentive and polite. Great prices. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the vast menu. Kids loved the sweet jar on the way out. Excellent
Absolutely amazing food. This is the best place to have a nice family dinner in the area. In 16 years first time I was so amazed and satisfied. Marvelous experience. Will return for sure. Thank You. Service could be a bit better.
Really lovely place. We were here for a wake but the staff were lovely and empathetic to our needs. Very nice buffet and good selection of drinks.
Absolutely brilliant, I'm from Derby but have to go to Boston regularly, and always have a meal here and obviously a few liquid refreshments, but I'm made to feel as if I'm a regular local person highly recommend the steak rare Food: 5/5
Nice pub, located in a good setting at Antons Gowt Lock System, you can park up there and walk along the Witham River, 3 miles West to Langrick Bridge, Cafe at the end of it, or head South on the River to Boston Marina and the start of the Town, there is also a Cafe there. If you're not walking, the Pub provides good food and Ales, with seating outside and plenty of parking, nice staff. Only downside is the remote location, need a nominated driver.
Went with a friend on Tuesday night and stayed there till 11pm. Opening times just say Mon from 4 rest of week from 11 open till late. Food was lovely. Nicki owner really polite and friendly. Place clean and nice location.
Lovely place. Hidden gem just outside of Boston! The waiter was kind, courteous and attentive and they gave us big, home cooked portions at very reasonable prices. The food was lovely and a great selection on the menu to suit all budgets! One of the highlights of this trip to the Fens for me! Thank you!
We booked a table for 8 in the week for a Sunday carvery and when we got there, there was a little confusion over our table but they did find us a table! It seemed they were struggling with getting back into the reopening groove, we had to flag down staff when we needed something like drinks and to find out if we needed tickets for the roast. The food, however, was lovely, there was plenty meat and it was nice and tender. Sad that there was no cheesecake of the day left eventhough it was only 130 but the chocolate orange cake was delicious!! Over all, the food was great it was just the organisation which slightly let it down
Fantastic pint of Bombardier, 10/10, Always good. Also huge Haddock and chips, spot on, Thankyou Victoria oh and the big guy in the back, forget his name !!!!!!!!!. x
