Came for lunch as a party of 10, easy to find, and easy parking as many spaces. A few family groups were also having lunch, and the establishment has a nice friendly feel. A range of menu options were ordered, 1 of our party is a vegetarian and had no problem finding menu options. The lunches and desserts were all great bar mine which arrived with a long hair resting on it, spotted as the plate was brought. The waitress was apologetic and another plate was brought about 10 minutes later. Dropped a star from my review for hair in the food, so only 3 stars.
A very warm open looking place - people sitting outside having a few evening drinks, enter into the bar area and to the right, the dining area which is spacious. Great service from a friendly young lady. Lots to choose from on the menu. I had prawn with garlic and chilli to start - was ok but didn't taste and chilli I must admit, and then I had chicken, bacon and avo salad. The chicken was char grilled by the looks of it, and sometimes was bitter tasting a few burnt bits on it and a bit dry from over cooking I found. My sister had a very delicious salmon and my hubby and brother in law had the steak pie, which was very filling and quite tasty they said. It's a pleasant place to pop in to have a pleasant evening - offering sometimes live bands on certain evenings.
We went in there for an impromptu hot lunch having been with out electricity for 3 days in the recent storm. They were welcoming , the food fabulous a big roast and fish and chips , and I spilt a whole pint of coke over the floor and even then they were gracious and moved us to another table so our food didn’t get cold ! A nice farewell topped off a really pleasant lunch .. thank you we needed kindness and good food and that’s what we got. We will be back
We had a party of 9 for Sunday roast. The food was excellent great roast potatoes crispy on the outside fluffy in the middle, beautifully cooked fresh veg all cooked to order. Best Sunday roast for a very long time . Great service took a little time to arrive but we'll worth waiting. Well done excellent great vibe and very enjoyable. Thank you! Well done!
We were a large group so we expected to have to wait for a bit. However it was an hour before receiving our first plate of food. We had 6 children with us so you can imagine how hungry they were getting. Ideally they could have bought the kids meals earlier. The food did taste great. The fish and better very tasty and fresh and the kids fish fingers were lovely. I would say though the portions were a bit on the small side and still felt a bit hungry when we'd finished. Overall ee had a nice time, we would cone again but hope the portions and timings were improved.
Visited twice when staying in the area. Staff are SUPER friendly, food was very good, loads of TVs to watch all the sports available. But the outstanding thing were the Expresso Martinis. I've been to many, MANY cocktail bars, hotel bars and dive bars in loads of countries. I can, hand on heart, honestly say that they were THE BEST Espresso Martinis I have EVER had! Would highly recommend.
Sadly there for a friend's wake. Surprised the entrance the car park was nearly a dirt track. Also surprised the excellent Harvey's beer wasn't on in the large room reserved for the private party. Having arrived about 12.15, the buffet hot and cold food wasn't served till nearly 2p.m., even the widow was surprised at the lateness for a lot of people, well over 60 I would think. However when it did arrive the food was very good.
Amazing service by Adele She was very professional, passionate and attentive but she knew when to stand back and leave us to chat , something not oftien done, thank you Adele. Very nice smile. Good knowledge of the products, food and drinks served . For me she would be *a keeper* From 2 very happy Ladies
Went for a busy mother's day dinner. Pretty much fully booked, but still produced great food that was enjoyed by everyone. Drinks service a little slow and dessert a little pricey for what it was, but still, a lovely place to eat.
Food tastes great. Fantastic service. Good value for money
