Delightful pub just on the main road and very pleasant outdoor seating area. We're surprised at the good quality of food on offer - though perhaps on the pricey side if several of you. Friendly staff and very pleasant surroundings made this an enjoyable impromptu stop for lunch. Would certainly visit again if in the area, and highly recommended.
Lovely pub, great service and location. Only downside was our table as near a door and was pretty cold. Rest of the pub was much better and warmer but would def go back booking a better tableRooms: 3/5
Lucky enough to have this place as my 'local'. Friendly organised staff, great selection of ales and ciders. The food is exceptional and the menu changes on a regular basis. Mid budget, not a gastro pub, but a great pub with fantastic food. Dogs welcome in public bar pictured
2nd visit, Food excellent, staff just lovely, Beer great . Got 5 stars again from us all. 1st Visit Really nice pub in the countryside, good beer Harvey's bitter . Staff where very friendly. Will go there again and see what the food like.
Dropped in for lunch with no booking and the team quickly fitted us in nicely between sittings. The menu reads well and has nice variety, some standard stuff burgers etc, but much more on the interesting side such as game and fish which is great to see. Setting is lovely, all good!
Beautiful suite, ideally located to visit our family in East Sussex. The continental breakfast provided was very generous, and catered for different tastes The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Great accommodation and food and very friendly and efficient staff. Only disappointment was our group of 8 booked for New Years Eve and had to leave the restaurant/bar at 11.30 as they were closing as we were the only people left! Not quite the atmosphere we were expecting.
Nice staff and environment but WHY do you not cook your chips seperately from dead squid? It can't be hard to have a seperate fryer for just the chips as it's a staple part of your menu.
