My friend have reserved 2 tables for 4 peoples as we are 8 person. We was served with a smile from the lovely staff and help to assembled table to be a big table. The menu is a bit pricey for me but I have chose Lobster with garlic and butter, small fish and chips and kid menu. The food was great but a slight bit oily for sauce with Lobster and the batter of fish was hard to bite. Honestly the taste of food is not different from the others and it took nearly one hour waiting for our food. However, the view from this restaurant is stunning and great staff make this place worth to try to go when you visiting Scarborough.
A slice of heaven... Tucked away on the Scarborough pier this unassuming little restaurant is the definition of a hidden gem. After seeing a review on Google we stopped by on Saturday afternoon at 4pm and were given a great table by the attentive staff member. A easy going and relaxed atmosphere fills you with calm and the smell of fresh seafood cooking gets you exited for what is to come. The menu is so varied and full of choice, It was actually hard to choose what to order. We settled on the hot seafood platter and it blew us away. Great taste and also brilliant value for money. Not to mention the stunning views out onto the harbour. Will definitely be back cant wait to return.
Don't be put off by the exterior or location. Called in mid afternoon for a light lunch and luckily staff found us a table. Recommend you book if you planning visiting. Was very busy but not chaotic a lovely atmosphere. We went back for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Would book if we visit again. Fabulous views and food. Only disappointment was didn't get chance to try the seafood platter. Don't visit if you looking for cheap badly presented food. Do visit for fabulous freshly cooked and well presented food.
I came to the lookout with my husband and in laws. We are Muslim so have specific dietary requirements can't have food in contact with any non halal meats. One of the waiters greeted us at the door and I spoke to one guy and explained our dietary requirements and that we were looking to have the lobster as we can eat seafood and he went through what they used to cook it and all the ingredients involved and assured us our dietary requirements would be met. He even went back to the kitchen to ask a good 2 to 3 times to make sure as he didn't want to give us false information and he never once looked inconvenienced. He even found out what else on the menu we could have and allowed us to swap some sides it came with to accommodate to us. He was so polite, so understanding and kind and was very thorough and took our requirements seriously and acted so professionally. I am so pleased to have had this service here and it is great to find a place that can accommodate to everyone and be so happy and enthusiastic to do so. The lobster was amazing, the Crushed garlic butter potatoes were perfection. Food was brilliant and service too. This is a bussiness who quite clearly hire grade A team players and they should be very proud of this young waiter who really played a huge part in our positive experience of the restaurant and it was a huge highlight of our trip to Scarborough. Kindness and understanding go a long way and I recommend this place to all.
This place specialises in fish and if you like platters full of lobster crayfish prawns etc this could be the place for you. We had fish and chips which were excellent. The small is more than adequate with regular being for a hearty appetite. Pictured is the regular.
A hidden gem with great views and delicious seafood. I had “Alex’s Seafood Chowder” with gluten free bread which was really great - packed with fish and a hearty portion. Kids menu has some simple choices that the kids will eat - so everyone was happy.
We have actually not planned to eat here, but my girlfriend and the bad weather guided us in. Was a bit worried if we could still get dinner as they were closing in 30 minutes, two young lads welcomed us and got our orders quick We had the classic fish ‘n’ chips and the chowder in a crusty cob - a timeless classic that was very well done and the chowder? Absolutely mint, I’m weird when it comes to restaurants, I’ll use salt and pepper before even tasting it but when I saw my chowder and tasted it - it literally did not need anything, it couldn’t be any better! Thanks for a lovely dinner at a cozy place!
7.30am. Wow. What a spread. Absolutely beautifully decorated café. Table service second to none and the picture was the small breakfast. Spot on prepared and perfectly cooked all round. Now to finish that 5 mile dog walk
We wanted fresh seafood as close to the sea as possible and we weren’t disappointed! I had the hot seafood platter and my wife had fresh crab with prawns, both delicious. The hot seafood platter is easily a sharing dish though, unless you’re greedy like me :
Superb seafood...we had lobster, langoustines and both were cooked brilliantly. Quiet, efficient service. Thank you for a memorable lunch. We will be back very soon.
