We visited before leaving Scarborough after a 3 night stay, which finished off our holiday perfectly with some refreshing desserts. We went for a pineapple milkshake, having this for the first time, of course it was sweet, but definitely tasted great. For desserts we went for a classic Knickerbocker glory & a Waffle with strawberries, bananas, chocolate, cream with chocolate biscuits on top. Both tasted great, & definitely value for money.
Been an occasional visitor to the Harbour Bar for over 40yrs now; the sundaes, shakes, piping hot mugs of coffee, floats and waffles are all terrific. But to say the place has a history and meaning beyond what it sells, would be somewhat of an understatement. I’m sure I’m not alone in having so many great memories tied to the place. It’s a true institution and a great reminder of how important simple pleasures are in life. I hope it always remains so.
What an awesome find, I couldn't give more higher compliments on the amazing staff here. They were so, so busy, but everyone knew what they were doing ensuring customers were served promptly and ice cream sundaes etc arriving really impressively swift. The prices were reasonable considering the amazing ice creams....our daughter would quite easily live here!!! A must when visiting Scarborough.
We make a trip here every time we're in Scarborough and it's always delicious. A mega menu of delicious options! And not excessively expensive and a nice spot to watch the people walk by. Staff were nice, bathrooms were clean. Love this place
Amazing ice creams, staff are friendly, we've been coming here forever I'm now 35 been coming since I was a child I just love this place, the milky coffee is amazing too. Can't wait to come back
Great eatery, styled like a 50s diner. Ordered a waffle, ice cream ok. However can get better ice cream from Holy Cow, 2 shops down. Staff was questionable customer service not the best some staff look harassed.
Great place if you love a traditional Knickerbocker Glory, sundae or a choice of different flavoured ice-creams. The waitresses are dressed in the 1950's era and the shop is bright and bold and the music is upbeat. They also have drinks and snacks. It's a great experience.
Beautiful place with a very warm welcome. The bar itself looks like a 50s style diner but it has a lot of the English ice cream favourites. The staff are very warm, happy to help and very good at making delicious sundaes. I'd definitely recommend going and treating yourself
Nice ice cream and good prize. The taste is good not much sweet . Will visit again next time
