I have been reminded that you cannot trust online reviews. I went to 409 after a casual recommendation by a fellow resident of the area and then seeing all the good reviews it's gotten online. The decor was shabby and outdated. The music was elevator music. The service was slow. The wine was undrinkable. The food was average - certainly not good enough to compensate for the very poor ambience nor to justify the prices. For food/ambience/price mix, you're much better off sticking to a good chain restaurant or a good gastropub.

Good local restaurant. The food and wine is quite good though it does work out to be slightly pricey. The decor is nice and cozy - although the front door can be a little difficult to find it's literally a door that you have to press a buzzer for before they let you in. Recommend.

We were the first in the restaurant so that might explain the service. We had the 50% off menu and maybe they put 50% effort in to the food, it was good but not excellent.  Might go back as everyone else seems to think it is better but I just wonder if it is another 'nearly there' restaurant that benefits in a world of mediocre.

Absolutely amazing place... we enjoyed every moment there. Outstanding food and drinks... very innovative  one of the best places we have been... truly one in a million

Really cosy place. Very good tasting menu. I look forward to trying the fondue.

Great food, great service, disappointing that there don't serve pints!  Note you need to book in advance, as you can't just walk in on the off chance.

Cocktails served in wine glasses. Illinformed staff. Food overpriced and badly cooked. Def an AVOID

I ate here when it was the picnic pop up, food was great but overpriced in my opinion for the amount you get.

Great food, great wine, great atmosphere and great service. Will be back for sure!

I enjoyed the rump steak. Service was friendly but the waiter seemed a bit stressed.
