The beer garden is huge and opens out across a large well kept lawn which sits above a shaded area and the outside flagstone area, all of which have large, well-maintained tables. There is a log fire with sofas and armchairs inside as well as a separate dining room. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the wait for food isn't long. Book a table during summer though to avoid disappointment. Nearby activities: If you plan is to visit Marloes Sands or take the Martin's Haven boat to Skomer Island and then you go past the Lobster Pot, which makes it very convenient for lunch or dinner depending on tides and trip times.
Good food and a nice place to eat. Comfy chairs to sit by log burner. Staff helpful and accommodated our ‘special food request’ and did not have to wait long for food - our party had scampi and burger , good portions and all cooked lovely. We will be back again.
A very nice traditional pub in a tiny village, a few meters off the amazing coastal path. Excellent food!Rooms: 4/5
Brilliant little pub, pool table, lovely garden.Dogs are welcome. Booking for meals highly recommend. They serve food 12.30-2.30 6pm-8pm.Service: 5/5
We had two excellent meals here whilst staying in the area The best chips we had all week! Our two dogs were made welcome with some doggie biscuits and the landlord and family were very friendly we had some lovely chats!Service: 5/5
As long as you don't take the unfriendly welcome too personally, it's ok. We arrived having booked a table, and despite no one else being around, we were not greeted by the barman, or shown to our table. I know they are short staffed, and they said as much, but still no need for grumpiness. We were made to feel an inconvenience for wanting to order drinks and food. That said, food came in a good time and was excellent, very enjoyable and good portion sizes. And the two women who brought the food/collected plates were very friendly.
Rooms were very clean. Nice touches with the toiletries and water - it felt very welcoming. Good pub food on site. Friendly service. Small car park outside we had no problems parking. We stayed here prior to a trip to Skomer. The only problem we had was that we needed to leave at 8am and that's when breakfast starts, but the owner kindly delivered a selection of cereals and chilled milk to outside our door at 7.30am. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.
We stopped on our walk from St Brides to Marloes and back. We all had the prawn sandwiches and drinks and omg they were lush and best for us they are dog friendly. Hopefully pop in again on our next visit. They were short staffed but the food came nearly straight away and they were pleasant staff.Service: 5/5
Went with hubby and dog.they gave me a bowl of water and free dog biscuits for the dog . The owner of the pub was very welcoming .prices were very reasonable ,had two pints of cider .even had doggy icecream for sale . We were made to feel very welcome and will definitely visit again .Rooms: 5/5
It's a shame there are not more staff, the pub is beautiful in a fab location and is very well looked after but our meals took a very long time to come out. The food was delicious. A note to the owners, the menu on the website is out of date, we booked here because of the prices being so reasonable however they were all up by several pounds in some dates by £5.
