Griffin Inn
"On the seafront in a hidden corner of Pembrokeshire, The Griffin in Dale specialises in award winning fresh seafood dishes and home-cooked pub classics. It also boasts one of the best sea wall ‘bars’ in Wales and the pontoon opposite lends itself perfectly for those wishing to arrive by sea. As you step foot into this long-standing/history steeped pub, you’ll feel embraced by the cosy atmosphere. In the winter crackling open fires ensure you are gently warmed as you enjoy the easy-going atmosphere. Additionally, a modern glass fronted conservatory with fabulous sea views with a roof terrace for alfresco dining on the nicer days. The perfect setting to enjoy plates of fresh seafood and local ales. Advance booking recommended -limited seating"

It was quite a wait to be served, but we wanted the food to all come together. We had a varied menu. The lasagne was excellent, tasty and just a little spicy. The chicken curry left room for development, the children's burger was eaten with gusto, though the fish goujons a bit tough were not eaten with as much enthusiasm. The fish and chips were excellent. All together a good experience and to be recommended.
Fantastic all around. Had dinner there and came back for pints the next day. Seafood pie was exceptional, as was the monkfish with Thai spices. Scallops starter and toffee pudding dessert also delicious. Lovely setting by the water, with a patio upstairs if you prefer. Great, friendly service throughout.
I had a wonderful lunch here in the outdoor upstairs area which is dog friendly. There were other dogs around us. The food was delicious with a good menu and the views of the bay were out of this world. Parking was close by, very cheap and machines accepted cards.
Proper friendly welcome. Very good and impressive menu knowledge from staff. We ate completely off the fish menu. Tasty food, pricey if eating off the fish menu but it was literaly off the boat. Ate outside, you can't access the terrace from the restaurant. Dog friendly.
We only stopped for a drink but its a lovely pub. We sat on the outdoor balcony as dogs aren't able to go indoors. We heard great things about the food, We will definitely be back one day to sample Service: 5/5
Local pub with a seafood menu in Pembrokeshire. The food itself was ok but considering the portion sizes, £26 for mussels and £15 for 4 scallops, it was poor value for money. They also didn’t pay for Spotify premium, adverts every 10 minutes
Had a few beers sitting on the carved benches near the wall, chatting and looking out at the bay at people swimming, sailing, jumping off the pier, sailboarding, paddle boarding etc while avoiding the occasional slow driving cars driving over my feet. A little piece of bliss. Service, quaintness, atmosphere all great. I didn't get to eat there so this is not really a complete review. It might deserve 5 stars. Photo taken because the Dragon Terminal at the LNG facility near Milford Haven was on fire. 14 August 2022.
Really nice pub in a great location over looking the sea. Food was brilliant. I went for the seafood pie. Definitely one of the best I have had and my friends said the same about the cod and chips
Great experience dining at The Griffin. Staff and service was fantastic, food was hot and tasty and the fish fresh fish menu features a number of fish caught locally each day is a great choice, if a little pricy. Very safe and comfortable environment, highly recommended.
Lovely pub - gorgeous views from the table we were at. Our server did an amazing job at dealing with my allergies - they were super knowledgeable about the cooking process of certain elements of the dish and could advise exactly what was safe for me to eat. Food was amazing and service was great
