Talbot Hotel

We are a group of 11 that meet monthly and was let down by a closure of our regular venue, we was recommend to come here... Very nice setting and homely looking venue on arrival. We was asked if there was any more orders before it was taken to the kitchen. We all ate. Food orders was messed up ( curry's) when presented to us and not very hot, sent back to reheat, lost the ability to enjoy my meal. Food was plentiful, well chips was... very apologetic and helpful but lost interest in the meal. This was the thoughts of many of the group but a good report on the mixed grill.

Awesome Sunday lunch for Mothers Day. Food was really tasty, best Sunday lunch around the Newtown Welshpool area (it takes alot to impress me where roast dinners are concerned!) friendly service at a reasonable price. Highly recommended

Lovely little country hotel, great food, beer and hosts. What's not to like.

Wonderful scenery. Small village with a small shop, tea room and country church. Took walk along the aqueduct and sat watching the river fall over the rocks. Ideal for couple and family willing to travel into nearby Welshpool and Newtown. Everyone really friendly.
