I work with special needs people and we are always trying to find nice places to have lunch with the lads we look after , we have noticed the last couple of times here we felt less welcome , the food was nice but staff friendliness goes a long way .
Me and my wife went to the Lingmell on Saturday evening for a few drinks it was extremely busy with 2 children’s parties. I was watching your staff as they were very busy with food orders. I was however a bit shocked to see a member of staff vapping at the food hatch as he was collecting food orders you could literally see the smoke coming out of his mouth as he took the food order to the customers table, he was a young lad with a beard or it could have been a goatee. Then I also observed a young blonde lady in the kitchen preparing food she wasn’t wearing any head covering her hair was very long tied in a ponytail but the hair was dangling forward practically inches away from the food . Overall I was a bit shocked at the overall standard of food hygiene.
Ordered off just eat and omg it was terrible compared to eating in the pub .nFish and chips was bad the fish was about size of gold fish it was poor and most was batter so even fish inside was smaller again don't no how they justify the price they charge and was missing mussy peas .nThen we got 8oz steak and chips with pepper sauce now for 16.50 was daylight robbery steak was like a minute steak and tiny wad deffo about 4 oz steak will never order on just eat from here again
Didn’t have a lot of food but busy Saturday. What they did have was lovely. Salt and pepper Sui mai were lovely. Really good atmosphere. Staff were lovely.
Ive started taking the kids here once a month sometimes twice for the ice cream sundaes an waffles. They are worth every penny and the staff are so welcoming just a lovely pub to take the kids for a sunday sweet treat
