We stayed only one night at this hotel and it’s very good value for money. The room size was good and the room has most of the necessary stuff. Staff is friendly and supportive and approachable. Lots of parking spaces and I also liked the facilities such as sauna, swimming pool although they opened it at 10 am on the Boxing Day which is relatively late.
Roundabout road works are an absolute pain. Especially if you don’t know the area. Other than that the hotel is pretty decent. Nice staff and nice rooms. Gym is way too small, literally about 10 pieces of equipment in there with a tiny pool.
Our stay here was quite disappointing. We do not drive and were travelling here via public transport and by foot - currently there is only one way to access by foot, via a very concealed hiking trail which we were only able to find thanks to a friendly local! We were not made aware of this ahead of our arrival and consequently ruined our shoes and suitcase wheels having to trundle them through what was essentially a very muddy forest path. Had we known, we would definitely have opted to take a taxi from the centre to avoid this, or at least worn more appropriate shoes!!nnThe food during our stay was not bad but very expensive for what it was.nnThe room was spacious and comfortable; we were big fans of the bed!! The bathroom was clean and had good bath and shower options. The air conditioning in the room did not work however which was frustrating as it was quite warm.nnWe chose this hotel specifically for the pool and spa amenities. While we were able to use the pool on the evening of our arrival, the chlorine content was so high that it stripped some of the coloured dye from my hair! The pool was then closed for the remainder of our stay. Obviously appreciate these things happen but we stayed for four nights and were disappointed that the hotel was unable to resolve the issue before we left.
Well lets start. The website pictures are definitely false advertising so be awarenOutside looks worn down and bland entering the building gets you a clear picture of how this place is run.nShabby at bestnnLobby has a leaking roof.nTo the right the bar and maze restaurant and Castle.nTo the left rooms and a small pool and leisure area with a gymnnThe roomnDisgusting rooms damp on the roof superior room was just 2 single beds pushed togeather. And super stuffy with next to no fresh air as window's are lockednnThe restaurantnTwo night both with the exact same reduced menu when speaking to the manager about the menu he was confused first stating that we needed to book dinner when booking the rooms with a link for a better menu?? No link or option was provided when booking then went on to stating that there working on the menu.nnOver priced food 19£ for a saladnSo be prepared for overpriced food when beefeater is 2 min down the road.nAnd is better quality in food.nnThe pool and gymnThe pool is so cloudy with chlorine that you leave itchy random people can walk in and out who don't stay at the hotel so if your looking for a romantic swim good luck. Though the gym is very nice.nnOver all very disappointed and won't return its only saving grace is its employees. Thanks to them for being awesome
Our experience at The Landmark Hotel was quite mixed. Our room had a strong, unpleasant smell, likely from cleaning products. The view from the window was disappointing, overlooking a noisy pool motor and a stack of chemical containers. The pool was so small and overcrowded that we didn’t even bother trying it.nAs for the restaurant, the quality of the dishes did not match the high prices on the menu. However, the breakfast was a standout and very enjoyable.
