Very nice atmosphere, staff were nice and kind. Good choice of drinks and nice food. It can be a good change for every Travelodge guests who might be fed up a little bit with their standard limited menu. Had lovely Steak Pie with mash. Lot of space inside and some tables outside. Good location, close to M5.
Food was to die for. I got the chicken kebab and the chocolate brownie sundae. Wow! Brownies were nice and soft and actually warm!! The Kebab was one of the best I've had honestly. Staff were really nice and attentive. Thanks again folks :
Had a great experience tonight Christmas Eve. We’ve been many times and service has been acceptable. Tonight the service and whole experience was outstanding! What a turn around! All staff were very friendly and welcoming. A big shout out to David who was very attentive, personable and fun! Thanks so much, you made our evening! From the cheese lover
This is a really friendly and welcoming place to eat and have a drink. Service was impeccable, couldn't fault anyone. All were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We visited on a Monday and there were plenty of tables. We ate from the main menu and the lunch meal. Food was superb, such good quality food and cooking. Presentation was amazing. There are plenty of tables inside and outside, plus a children's play area and sheltered seating. The decor was very impressive and the prices were reasonable. The staff were very nice and greeted you and said goodbye. The place was very clean and tidy.
Visited this evening as a family of 4 2 adults, 2 children. It's been a while since our last visit and not something we'll be repeating! Firstly, the positives. Staff were friendly, clean pub and lots of free tables not sure if that is such a positive, but we were happy we could get a seat!. Menu is comprehensive, with all the typical pub choices. Food arrived quickly Negatives for us were, value for money. in my honest opinion,a microwave meal would have been the more preferable choice which this was likely to have been. The quality of food was very poor. I understand people have had to cut costs, but this was a stark difference to previous times. The quantity of food was equally as poor. Finally, the price of squash at almost £2 for a half pint, absolutely insane!! We will certainly not be returning!!
Nice pub. Nice refreshed modern decor but still welcoming and has a good atmosphere. Really lovely staff shout out to Paul! Who made our little girls day quick service but I was disappointed what I wanted to order had run out. Had a good alternative kebabs, they were yum we all enjoyed the food and it was well priced. Would recommend for groups and families. Will be back!
The staff were lovely and the premises were very nice. We had the Sunday lunch. My pork was lovely and there was 3 big slices. The potatoes were a bit soft and the food was not as hot as I would have liked, but the plate was huge and overall it was good. My friend said the beef was tough, but my partner also had beef and he said it was nice. No room for puddings as the meal was huge. Paul was very attentive and very charming. Overall a very pleasant visit and will definitely come again.
The staff were so helpful and polite. They checked in to see how things were, and were courteous to us all. The food a Sunday lunch was beautiful! The potatoes were home cooked not frozen and the rest of the vegetables were extremely tasty. With good portions, it was well worth the money. Overall, a pleasant experience. Recommended.
05/07/2021 What a place to eat caught me by surprise. Food was amazing and had a fresh and smoky taste to it. I do not normally eat chips but the ones here were amazing and seemed to be coated in fine cheese. 4oz Rump Stake - 10/10 Perfect.... Could of been more medium than rare if you want to be pedantic. 6oz Gammon Steak - 8/10 Nice but a little too salty however it may not of helped I added salt to my entire dish. PORK CHOP - 10/10 Amazing. Plenty of meat. LAMB CHOP - 10/10 Again amazing. Plenty of meat. PORK Sausage - 10/10 Beautiful but could do with two not just the one. Price £15.75 - Reasonable. Friendly staff and Covid Compliant. If I was to add one negative I would recommend to the manager not to allow big dogs in the restaurant especially a German shepherd barking at everyone. Other than that.... Highly recommend I will be returning.
Had a really nice meal this evening. All of the staff had a smile on their faces. David our waiter was absolutely great. He was friendly , helpful and efficient. Drinks were ordered and served really quickly with another lovely smile. Our food order was taken and arrived after 15 minutes. All of our party of five really enjoyed our food. I ate here about 18 months ago and it really wasn’t great but tonight was a world apart from that experience. Thank you all of you especially David. See you again soon
