This gets 5 stars for atmosphere and drinks selection alone. Food is consistent and tasty, not outstanding. The staff are super friendly and always keen to help. Their playlists are great, too.
As a chef I eat out a lot. I I try to see what other businesses are doing and take a great interest in the ever changing hospitality challenges that we face. I came here today to sample the Sunday lunch, big mistake the roast beef dinner was something else as a chef I was highly disappointed. I don't think I have ever seen a sirloin of beef that colour and potatoes were not fresh they were grey. It really does break my heart when what should be a basic meat and veg dish is so very bland and tasteless. It's a not the cheapest either but I would not eat here again. I have now gone somewhere else to eat
Excellent pub, friendly helpful staff, a good range of real ale on, very nice food that was served quickly, very dog friendly as wellFood: 5/5
Very dog friendly! Popped in before Sunday lunch for coffee and cake. We've had Sunday lunch and judging by all the reserved tables everyone rates this place! If you want to eat definitely book!!Food: 5/5
Fantastic staff and lovely decor including some unusual lights. Food looked good we had already eaten only reason it does not get 5 stars is the fact it was very cold in there. Appreciate it's a big place to heat but just too cold for me I did have thermals on!Service: 5/5
Dropped in on the way to the Playhouse last night. Never been in before and managed to get a table. Loved the atmosphere, food and friendly staff. Very cozy on a winter's evening. We will be back.
Here for the first time with our dog. The staff are LOVELY, it's dog friendly, good selection of beers and a nice Exmoor cider. We had a delicious halloumi salad and a toasted sandwich followed by coffee and cake. Apparently, they have an evening menu so will be back later too
Great food and superb hospitality, dog friendly also our second visit now, definitely returning in the near future
What a pleasant surprise. After dragging the kids around Weston's tired sea front and pier finding nothing but fish and chips ice-cream or doughnuts, or some such other greasy spoon with chips. Found this place, didn't hold much hope from the outside, but once in, it's clean, well decorated, family friendly, pleasant staff, good menu with healthy options and great beer. I'll definitely come back. Very good.
Lovely atmosphere. Very attentive and friendly staff, super service and after care helpful. Lovely food, we have ate here at both lunchtime and in the evening. We'll cooked, presented nicely, fresh tasty and filling. I would highly recommend the mixed grill deal 2 for £25. Dog friendly with drinks and treats available for your canine kids. We would always recommend a visit to the Duke of Oxford.
