The centre is a good area but there are many empty shops now. Maybe as the rents are too high? Events are held there most weekends..mostly children's activities which is a good draw but we need different kinds of shops.

It's shops are shutting when wilko goes back to the new build there will be nothing left. It needs new shops and i don't mean pound shops or gambling shops. The market is nothing no more the council have destroy the town.

Wouldn't recommend ASHTON under Lyne.  Sane as every clone Town.  Derelict shops. Over priced parking.basically consists of pound stores. Very sad
