Story

Opened in 2013 Magpie's Nest is a multi award winning independent retailer based in Stalybridge Town Centre & in The Arcades Shopping Centre, Ashton Under Lyne. Both shops have a range of ladies handbags, purses & luggage. We stock a selection of products from Radley, Cath Kidston, Modalu, Yoshi, Tula, Fiorelli, Brakeburn & Kipling.
Our Stalybridge store has a great selection of ladies scarves and gifts ideas including brands such as Fulton Umbrellas, Julie Dodswoth, Bomb Cosmetics,Wax Lyrical, Carrie Elspeth Jewellery & Estella Bartlett. We have a mix of handmade products as well.

I love visiting magpie nest they have such an array of items that make great gifts or something special for someone special.
The ladies who work in there are always most polite and nothing is to much trouble.

Today it was grey and rainy while I was out shopping.  When I went into Magpies Nest, it was like the sun coming out!  The staff were most welcoming and pleasant without 'hovering'.   I needed a few assorted gifts for friends and family and I was amazed at the choice available and the range of prices! I quickly got some nice toiletries and candles for friends then a very pretty scarf for myself.  One of the staff helped me with choosing it, as I'm not very good with colour matching and I'm really pleased with it and it was nicely wrapped up too. I also got a beautiful necklace for a family member as well.  There is even a gents section which is useful to know about for the difficult task of getting men's pressies!  All in all, an experience of shopping was relaxed and I enjoyed browsing - so much to see .  It saved a trip into Manchester and none of the gifts look as if they've been bought from a supermarket.
