Food is without doubt one of the best I've ever had at any restaurant.. entire pub is clean and inviting and staff were friendly and caring... also drinks were surprisingly  cheap.we will definitely  be returning soon

Splendid place, just the ticket for a friendly Christmas Roast Carvery. Despite being extremely busy the staff were friendly and attentive and the food plentiful, hot and very tasty. Thankyou guys  our staff Xmas lunch was lovely.

Great grub top place for local food in Hailsham. Same its up for sale    it will probably loose the standards. Prices will increase and quantities with be hugely lower on your plates. But make the most of current owners. Before there off to pastures new. Visit this pub to check out for yourselves

We attended the pub for a club meal in the function room. The food and service were exemplary, portion sizes very generous, staff very helpful and polite. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Would highly reccomend.

I don't really know where to start ?  Everything is outstanding,  the food , the service , the staff .  Lovely atmosphere    Party room available !  Family business.....that's what matters !  Keep it local .

Had garlic bread with cheese & red onion chutney fir starters, good portion received. Then had roast beef, very yummy cam with Yorkshire pudding  potatoes peas & a side of carrots, Cauliflower & swede, gravy, beef of course. Yummy & so tasty I forgot to take pictures of food! Good price as 1 x starter, 2 mains & 2 pints of coke about £36 so we'll worth money. Excellent service too from ladies serving food quickly & attentatively. Lovey pub, quite big but still has that cosy feel of different areas to settle down. Designated smoking area outside as well as garden tables & play area  also a hotel & fine dining here. Noticed there is a special on for oap menu 3 course for £16:50 I think mon to weds or Thurs 11 till 3 I think

Good quality food, good sized portions, wide and varied menu and very reasonably priced...will definitely return.

Food was delicious. Service was great. Went on a Friday night and wasn’t too busy. Options on menu were great and no complaints at all over the food and quality of it. The children’s menu could provide maybe a smaller option of food for less the price. Not a big fan of children menus that cater up to 11/12 and expect a 2 year old to eat the same amount of food for the same price, however, did ask for a doggy bag which was given. Wasn’t given a drinks menu though and was asked what drinks we wanted as soon as we sat down, so didn’t get a chance to even settle and even think what about what we actually wanted,  but I get why some places ask straight away. Nice decor and really good music playing inside. Wished I took a photo of the food received as presentation was good.

Good food but so busy and only two people serving. OK if you can put up with the wait...
