What a bunch of perfectly attentive, friendly and polite staff. The meal was absolutely delicious and at 3 courses for £30 definately worth every penny and the cocktails were some of the best I've ever had! The live music from the musician was a perfect addition to the ambiance of the meal.

Visited for dinner while staying at the hotel. The wine list was extensive with some reasonably priced options. I had a steak, which was absolutely beautifully cooked! Super service and fantastic food in a beautiful environment.

The food was great but the service for us was horrific. We ordered our starters and mains and once done we we're waiting close to an hour for anything else to happen. The waiters walked passed our table, showed people to their table right next to us and didn't even acknowledge us and constantly looked over but never approached to see if we needed anything. Finally we had enough and asked for the bill only to be given first a bill which was incorrect and second to be given a bill which was charging for items we never ordered including the dessert they never bothered asking us about. I would give two stars for the great food but it was valentines day and we both ended up frustrated. Maybe actually be aware of your customers in the future and dont just ignore them.

Very disappointed. We booked the restaurant based upon the reviews and were therefore looking forward to a fantastic meal. We ordered the scallops and chicken Caesar croquettes to start. The scallops were poor quality and practically tasteless, the pulled pork Bon Bons they were served with were overcooked and burned and the chicken croquettes tasted overpoweringly of fish! For our main course we had the Duck and (after being told there was no pork left!) the fillet steak. Firstly the duck was overcooked (I have never known Duck in a so called "high quality" restaurant to be anything other than pink) but I may as well have removed my shoe and tried to chew on that! The fondant potato it was served with was sloppy on the outside and raw in the middle and the fillet steak was not actually a fillet! It was rump! I have never eaten such poor quality food and be charged so much for it before. The service was equally as poor as the food. The waiting staff were sullen, moody and at times completely disorganised. We were either forgotten about or had two different waiters asking us the same question! After asking for the bill, we were left 20 mins before being able to pay. Then to top it off we had to argue with the head waiter about the fact that as guests of the hotel we had pre-authorised payments to be booked to our room which was quite frankly embarrassing. I would rather have withdrawn £100 from the bank, set fire to it in the street and gone to the local chippy! Don't waste your money.
