Dropped in on spec, looking for dinner for 5. Very welcoming. Moved things round to put us in a great spot. Food was fabulous, service was lovely  and beers were very well kept. Would recommend.

The King's Arms is a wonderful stop for any cyclists doing the King Alfred's Way, as its directly on the route and offers a welcome pit stop. Top notch food, always a vegan option, incredibly lovely staff/landlord and there's even a campsite if you've had enough pedalling for one day.

Lovely village pub. Good food. Camping club CL. Good Garden. Annual charity music festival.

We wanted to get a drink there were 6 of us and no tables available. They immediately offered to open the function room, for us. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

Liked what we saw. Very friendly. Only stopped for a pint before a return walk along the canal on a very hot day
