Beautiful location, lovely Cotswold stone buildings and impeccable food! I brought my parents here on another adventure seeking the perfect Sunday lunch, we have already tried many restaurants and some have failed to deliver a good roast dinner. It's a fabulous drive around the area, easy to find and the meal here is outstanding so certainly a new favourite. There is plenty of parking to the rear, once inside we were warmly greeted on arrival and shown to our table. The dining areas wrap around the buildings interior with a different view from each table, with a relaxed atmosphere and setting. Dining is suitable for families, couples, special occasions and catch ups with friends. The menu offers a varied choice, superb quality ingredients and will appeal to all palates and appetites. The portion sizes were just right, the flavours compliment each other with thought and execution delivered to the table fresh, hot and very tasty. Overall this exceeded our high standards and without a doubt the most enjoyable Sunday roast in a long time. The service was impeccable and the staff were very friendly. With such an amazing Sunday lunch, I can't wait to return for more at different times of the day or week. There also looks to be accommodation cottages, so staying for the night and trying the breakfast would be the ultimate experience.
We had a wonderful night here celebrating our anniversary. We stayed in room 8, which was beautiful with a lovely view, comfy bed and a great roll top bath. The roses throughout the grounds were stunning! We had the tasting menu with matched wines for dinner. It was delicious and made the whole trip really special. Breakfast was also of a very high standard, and the staff were really helpful and friendly. All in all, an excellent stay - would thoroughly recommend it to anyone!
Came for Sunday lunch with three other people and a dog. All of us were well looked after by attentive and friendly staff. Three courses of delightful food with fabulous ingredients and innovative presentation. Nobody had a criticism to offer. Unpretentious , high quality fayre. Not especially cheap but worth every penny spent. Highly recommended.
We had an absolutely fantastic roast here on Sunday. All the starters were lovely, I think we had the best homemade bread we've had. And the roast was so tasty, all the side dishes were spot on and the gravy was amazing. Our 5 year old's kids meal was huge and really good too. Staff were great, we'll definitely be back.Service: 5/5
We saw the sign by chance and called in for lunch. Excellent food. The celeriac vegetarian dish from the A la Carte was a delight. My husband said the set menu was brilliant. Lovely atmosphere, location and service. We will be back!
My husband and I really enjoyed our two-night stay here. The staff were warm and personable, finding the perfect balance between being friendly but not overbearing. Both the breakfast and dinner were delicious with attention paid to every detail I.e., piping hot bread, glasses always filled etc.. The hotel has also clearly undergone a recent renovation as the rooms were of a high quality whilst not losing their original charm and wood features. Would highly recommend.
Very lucky to get a last minute table for Sunday lunch. The meal itself was very tasty but similar to many other experiences and reviews portion size was minimal. Always happy to pay more for something special but unfortunately between the quantity and service this wasn’t that.
The Killi has been through a change of hands in recent years, and what was still a pub with an exceptional restaurant plus a few b&b cottages, has become a restaurant with some upmarket short stay lets. In exchange for a pleasant ambience, where friends could get together, and soak up the atmosphere, overseen by professional restaurateurs, it has become a sterile, copycat interior, overseen by a trio of businessmen capitalizing on the nearby presence of Soho Farmhouse. Their plans led to the loss of excellent staff, serving high quality food at top end prices, to be replaced by a Michelin starred chef and astronomical prices. If an £85 sampler, £15 starters, and £30 mains float your boat then you will love it. But take cash because bizarrely they don't accept American Express.
Absolutely love this place! We tried the tasting menu last week and it was nothing short of perfection. Incredible food and lovely staff. The best place I've eaten at in a very long time.Rooms: 5/5
Excellent dinner with friends here on a Friday night. Service was superb, food was exquisite and the ambiance amazing- Highly recommended! We will be back soon to try the tasting menu!Service: 5/5
