I visited for a Sunday roast and was very happy that I did. I had a duck breast to start and the duck was well cooked, and came served with fresh salad. For the Sunday roast I had the Lamb Henry, which was cooked to perfection. The lamb just came away with the slightest touch of the fork. The service from the staff was exemplary.

Fantastic pub and excellent new landlord. Matt took over in August and has completely transformed the Kicking Donkey. The menu is excellent and the food is exceptional. Staff ate the best in the area and very personable. Can't recommend the place enough.

What a brilliant find!! We came across this place by accident as we were driving out on a Sunday afternoon. Friendly, inviting, cozy open fires, a delicious roast & excellent service. Added bonus dog friendly for our obedient pooch.

We have just had a delightful dining experience at the kicking Donkey in Ormskirk. The food was very very good and the service was excellent. It's nice to go where you feel like your amongst friends and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you. We will be back

Went for food with another family yesterday. Food was lovely - very tasty. Pea and ham soup was amazing!! Fish and chips so fresh! Will defo be back. Great find!
