As a tenant, I could not recommend this agency enough. I was a tenant with The Key Place for about one year, and they were always very quick and good in the communication, even for the smallest issue or for advice, and very professional at all stages. I never had a problem with them. They respond in less than 24 hours for any repair, and deal with the landlord on your behalf in an excellent way, making every process extremely smooth.

Seemed nice at first glance but once they had my money in their pocket things changed dramatically. The application process was an utter farce. I let with them for two years during which they constantly ignored significant  repairs and damp that appeared in the flat shortly after we moved in. The one time they managed to actually send workmen around they gave me no warning and I had a panic attack coming home to find unexplained strangers in my house.  They ignored my repeated requests to have a potentially dangerous leak fixed and upon my moving out tried to retain my deposit for the damage they themselves had caused due to incompetence and blatant negligence.  They do not care about their tenants, absolute con artists and leeches.  Avoid at all costs.

Worst experience  ever!! Worst 18 months of our lives!  Manager had our housing benefit stopped with no notice. Minimal amount it was have realised since it was to get council to pay it straight to them. Common practice! Manager was caught peering through my living room window whilst my 2 year old old ran round having just been changed. After confronting the company about it nothing more was said!!!! They have now disputed my deposit..... they got clean carpets cleaned, clean windows cleaned, clean ovens cleaned and non existent light builds replaced!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a surveyor and and inspector appear in my house with no prior email sent to inform me of their visit on two wonderfully exciting occasions. I work night shift and both times have been in my bed sleeping when they have walked in.  The first reply we got to our second complaint basically threw the blame at us but there was no email sent till 20 days after i had my home intruded on. Was promised it wouldn't happen again the first time, and have been given the same empty promise and apology.  As far as I can tell from a legal perspective they have broken our tenant agreement twice.  Avoid.  Also folks take a look at the reviews. Strange that they either 1 star or 5 star. They are clearly boosting their own profile.

I would highly reccomend the Key Place as a tennant. They worked hard to make sure that any problem I had with the property was fixed quickly and to a high standard. They are extremely professional and efficient. I've experienced several letting agencies in/around Edinburgh and they are by far the best that I've had. I would certainly look to use them again
