The Jolly Roger is situated right on the water front over looking the bay and battleship.nnDecorated like the inside of a wooden ship with lots of nautical memorabilia and pictures...nnA lovely place to enjoy the vista over drinks and food
Delicious roast pork Sunday lunch in a cozy pub overlooking a stormy sea. Really enjoyed our visit today. Food was tasty and staff were lovely. Great that it’s dog friendly too
We had a delicious lunch with family today. Lots of choice on the menu and they had a brilliant offer of meal and a drink for £10. Portion sizes were good and friendly service. The pub is lovely inside, really ‘rustic’ with its exposed brick walls and wooden beams. Will definitely be coming back again and will be recommending!
Family reunion lunch today in the conservatory overlooking the harbour. This is such a great location and the pub feels clean and cool as well as relaxed and comfortable. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. It was quiet in there at lunch time today but -so it was extra nice to have lots of personal attention. I don’t expect we could expect so much when it’s busy.nWe all went for the cod and chips with mushy peas -cooked to order and very nice.nI had blackberry Eton mess which is really good without any excessive sugar if you find normal Eton mess sickly.nWe thought the beer was good and there are lots of different drinks to choose from.nThe ladies loos were very well looked after and clean. There’s an easily accessible but private extra loo right by the conservatory for less mobile customers. All in all we couldn’t find anything to grumble about the opposite in fact.nAlso, In the evenings it’s a lovely place to sit and have a pint watching it grow dark over the harbour.
We hired the conservatory with a buffet for my mum's wake. The food was a mixture with vegetarian options kindly 'tweaked' ftom across the buffet menu's to exactly what we needed, it was delicious & very well presented & there was plenty. Extra chairs had been thoughtfully added & space made for us to put up a large memories board on an easel, we'd brought our own background music & small speaker & was even offered the choice of listening via thier own speaker system. Everything went just as we'd hoped, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, I would definitely recommend.
