We have been living here for over 6 months now, having lived in the area when we were younger we would never have stepped foot in this pub. Alan has completely changed this pub to a wonderful local, where families are welcome and everyone has a laugh, Jill does wonderful food! Arita is wonderful so so friendly and welcoming. I couldn’t wish for a better local so thank you guys!!
Nice looking pub and friendly staff. However, I was told to remove my Christmas hat as not allowed to wear them in this pub! I'd just had a hair cut so my head was feeling a little cold but removed my warm hat! The hat is not face covering in any way and I've worn this Christmas tree hat in a few pubs so far, including a pub where my wife works without issues. BAR HUMBUG to this pub.
Amazing pub run by locals for locals and guests . Food, service and selection of drinks are great. Fish and chips is top tier. Mango and lime gin and tonic is a close second!
Food is great. Staff member I was served by friendly and polite. Another staff member was eating behind the bar, it looked very unprofessional. Bar area clutered with a tray of glasses. Some areas of maintenance need to be improved.
Recently under new management but very consistent with the post-refurbishment vibe. Decent quality food and good selection of beers. Family friendly.
Been to London for the day ,so train station a stones throw from the pub so popped in to have a bite to eat, food lovely, staff friendly, and the new owners very attentive, and we were made to feel very welcome, we will definitely be going again
Terrible! They took payment 3 times saying that they made a mistake and that they had refunded but rather than refund they took payment again, many calls and visits to get the money back. Shame as the meal and the waitress were great, but completely disorganised.
Oh my gosh fantastic food and nice cold wine wonderful our waitress was smiles and cheerful the landlord so chirpy absolutely lovely atmosphere all round and the facilities were clean and plenty of parking too all important I say and a nice touch our cutlery turned up in sealed bags never seen that before wonderful I must say A star
Popped in for a quick pint after the Simla. Never been in the 27 odd years I've known the area. Seemed like a decent pub.
The Sunday roast was absolutely fantastic, big portions and presentation was spot on. Staff couldnt be more helpful. Next visit already being planned.
