The decoration and ambience were fantastic, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The food was generally very good, with my standout being the exceptional 5 duck liver parfait. However, some dishes fell short – the Shepherd's pie was alright but lacked veggies, and the portion seemed minimal. The monkfish and prawn curry, accompanied by jasmine rice, fared better. While the overall experience was good, the service was average, and the prices felt a bit steep for what was offered.
I had a lovely breakfast here on new years morning. I was running a little late and rang to inform them and they said it was fine and they would save my table. The service was really good and the breakfast was lovely. I enjoyed the decor, the round room and the high ceiling. I would definitely return here if I visit the area again.
The Ivy restaurant was a lovely find in Cheltenham.nThe decor looks very grand , for a chain, the attention to detail is remarkable.nWe didn't get to eat in the dome room, but the other rooms are a bit warmer, and it echoes less.nWe ordered mainly starters to share between ourselves, and the size was surprisingly generous.nThe cheese soufflé was really good , not as light as a soufflé should be , but delicious nevertheless. Although, we couldn't really taste the truffle.nnThe deep-fried courgette and arrancini were a win !nnGood selection of non alcoholic cocktails.nnThe service was ok . The host was very nice and polite , but the waiters couldn't have been more smiley. Although, they were very busy .nnI would love to try their afternoon teas aswell ! Will be back.nnEasy to book via open table.
The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie is a chic restaurant in the heart of Cheltenham. Upon entering you're brought back to somewhat the golden era of the 20s in what seems to be a converted bank building. The staff is lovely, quick to serve and ready to help. The food as with other ivy restaurants is delicious.nnDefinitely recommend to go there when you're in the area!
Wonderful atmosphere for special occasion. Diverse options for main dish and all those was tempting! Looking forward to visit again
