A fantastic experience at Porthmeor. We had breakfast at the Cafe and it was superb. Took a little while to get seated, but the food was absolutely worth it, cooked well and served quickly. Staff were polite and kind, and the view over the beach added to the experience. Parking is a nightmare, but it is everywhere in St Ives. Would highly recommend Porthmeor Cafe for good food with a view!
The restaurant above be sure to book in advance to secure a space, walk ups tend to have long waits. It's quite pricey, decent food but not anything that will be memorable but the views of the beach and the cosy nature of the place help my rating. Downstairs is a faster cafe style, still pricey and even less memorable, certainly better places only a 5minute walk away.
We found ourselves early for a trip to the Tate so nipped in here for a juice, hot choc and some cake. It can be very busy but it’s a nice little set up with the kitchen basically in the same area you sit in. The staff, whilst kept very much on their toes the whole time were polite and friendly. Great views over the beach. Hot chocolate was really good, and the billionaire cake was really nice
Great place to have food or drinks with an amazing view of the beach. Managed to see seals swimming in the sea while having breakfast. Staff very friendly. Food was nice and so were drinks.
We ordered the tapas, 10/10! Our favourite dishes where the Korean pork belly and the squid but all the dishes were amazing. We ate in a pod which was really nice In the not so great weather. The option for the heater was greatly appreciated. looking out to the sea whilst we ate was such a lovely experience! The waitress was so kind and charming. Speedy service! Not one bad thing can be said about our experience.
Had breakfast and dinner here and both were delicious. Great view over the beach and good is perfect. Great sized breakfast portions and the evening tapas was delicious. A must if you're in St Ives for the week.
It was busy as expected. Half an hour wait for food which wasn't to bad. We just had a drink and a lovely cream tea. With the most amazing view. Lovely friendly service.
Great venue next to the sea. The staff are very attention but not obtrusive and most importantly prompt. The food is excellent. We went for tapas with some of the highlights being the Korean pork belly, arancini with blue cheese and chorizo meatballs.
We came here for a meal on the last evening of our holiday and the food was outstanding. We were in a private pod facing the sea and although it was raining and a bit cold we were well sheltered and kept warm by the heater. We were able to mix the main and tapas menu which was great as everything sounded delicious. Make sure you book well in advance to secure a booking, they do take walk ins but are fully booked most evenings.
By far the best place in St Ives. We've been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is amazing, the view is stunning see attached and staff is lovely. Overall a must in St Ives. Booking recommended to get the nice spots.
