We visited before and after a shoot in December. Very welcoming indeed. The breakfast set us up for the day and tea filled us up for the night! Great local pub and cracking prices.... never paid such a small amount for a G&T in a pub!! Hopefully we'll be back next season.
Great atmosphere, wonderful food, nothing to much trouble for the staff, most helpful and efficient and a lovely place for a party with your own room in a lovely building.

Lovely, friendly & full of atmosphere village pub with smashing food. Had the home-cooked lasagne tonight & it was 100% better than a Italian restaurant one I hope more is made. Hubby had the fajita's which he really enjoyed.
I really like this pub, a good selection of real ales usually 4 always in tip-top condition. It's a locals place & a chatty landlord that makes you feel welcome, which makes a big difference. If you like a nice pint & conversation, it's a good place to go Cheers from the Cherrys!
Lovely well kept pub in a lovely village location. Landlord was very welcoming and the bands they had playing that evening were really good. Had a great evening.
Nice, warm and friendly pub with a good selection of beer and a warm fire.
Turned up on a Sunday with my sister and brother-in-law. We had not booked a table for Sunday lunch, which was a mistake, they were fully booked. However, they still fitted us in, and we got served meals in under half an hour. The food was very good, as was the service. They went out of their way to take into account food allergies, with the chef coming to our table to discuss & check what was and was not ok. Next time I visit my sister and she suggests a meal at her local pub I will be all for it. Highly recommend for good, home cooked food.
