We came in this afternoon for lunch my, my first roast dinner here. I could not fault it. Big portions, well cooked. We were taken to our table by a lovely girl and we sat by a big open fire. Service was fantastic even though they were obviously very busy. Looking forward to my next visit.
We popped in for breakfast on the off chance with our family on Sunday. We were greeted with a warm welcome and friendly smile. Our granddaughter was given some colouring pads and a baby chino! We all had a really good full breakfast with all the trimmings. Very good quality for the price. We will be back again soon!
We come in for coffees with our mum twice a week. Dan and the team always make us feel welcome. We bring our mum over from the nursing home around the corner and they are always so good with her. Nice hot coffee’s!
My wife and I came in for dinner tonight. We had steak and chicken burger, cooked beautifully. Sat in front of the roaring fire chatting to other locals. Lovely pub, will be back.
Lovely family friendly, dog friendly pub with staff that make you feel welcome, we were having a random conversation about visiting Poland and a member of the team was able to advise on best airports and times of year. The locals were very friendly too, which always helps with a great pub atmosphere.Service: 5/5
Very enjoyable evening. Good food, reasonable prices and excellent service. Limited choice of bitter the only drawback.
Disappointed. we booked for 12pm. The starters and main came out very quickly. The restaurant got busy and we waited and waited… finally a waiter came and asked if we wanted to wait 15 mins to let our food go down. We said no as we had already waited 20 mins. 20 mins later 40 mins total desert came. The decision to put whistles and blowers on the tables was not the right time to do. Children were blowing them making a loud noise and clearly upsetting other restaurant guests!!! Poor judgment on the restaurant’s part. The food was “ok” but not up to the usual standards but twice the price.
Great local pub, roaring open fire on the cold days. Good beer options and food menu has lots of choice I recommend the sharing platter!. Staff friendly.
My friend tried to book us in for a Xmas lunch but could find how to do it on the order Web page, so he added it as a note on the order. When we got there, they did not have that request and we were stuck with the normal menu and no Xmas additions. On top of that, a lot of the vegetables was under-cooked. Another pub we will never use again .
The staff made it a very pleasant experience for us. The room was nice, a bit small but nice and clean and tidy. Food was good.
