A real warm welcome by the team running the pub. Two very well behaved and adorable pub dogs to keep you company. Oh, the food was delicious too. They have a lovely garden. Conveniently situated on main road between Brokenhurst and Lymington.
Excellent food, very pleasant staff. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
Loved this place after a lovely walk from our campsite Setthorns. Nice quiet place with good food.
Good pub for dog walkers or dog lovers... I think the owners have 2 or 3 dogs roaming all over the pub and gardens... Super friendly. We took our dog along and had a choice of seating in various rooms of the pub. Owners were friendly and polite... Food was very tasty and good portions. Beer selection okay with a couple of local ales on tap... Wine list was okay as well. My only criticism would be the wait for food... One starter and three mains took about an hour to arrive after we had ordered... Not sure if it was too busy. I would still return and try again.
Cosy pub, very dog friendly, the roast was fantastic really tender meat.
It's a shame they aren't closer to us, I'd probably live there if they did... They are so friendly. Their food is just amazing. More importantly they are truly dog friendly with their own doggies walking around which I love to making fuss to our own dogs...
The food was lovely, well presented & tasty with a good choice on the menu. The service was very good & we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. They accommodated our two small children well & the baby changing facilities were good. I'd definitely & have already done so recommend this to friends & family. Hopefully we'll be able to return soon.
We've visited the Hobler on many occasions. The food has always been cooked to perfection. The pub is very clean and has a comfortable and warm ambience. The staff are extremely welcoming. On one of our many visits I was our son's birthday, he'd had a particularly bad morning and on hearing this Jack went out of his way to cheer him up. Jack showed us some great card tricks along with a few jokes and good banter - we certainly all left with a smile on our faces. Thank you Jack and Jess for always making our visits very enjoyable.
This place rocks Great food with great staff 2 lovely calm dogs roam the pub and will come and sit with u but won't be a imposition . Kids welcome Local ales. We went 2 nights running. Brilliant both nights. Friendly warm but most atmosphere.
Amazing freshly cooked food and some unique mains and desserts really sell this place. The pub has 4 room areas which makes for a cosy ambience, perfect for romantic dinners for two. The staff are happy to seat larger parties and rearrange table layout when space is available. The owners' dog is friendly and often greets customers at the door; he is a friend for life if you throw one of his toys for him to fetch. The decor is a little tired in places but the eating areas are clean and functional. Being in the middle of what can be a very muddy forest, you don't get the feeling that you have to be over-careful or precious with muddy boots, etc - an absolute must for ramblers and dog owners alike. On the whole, this is a lovely homely place with friendly service and a warm fire in the winter months
