Absolutely incredible. Couldn’t speak of it highly enough and will definitely be back. We booked for lunch at 12pm and are glad we did, it’s clearly a very popular pub and got very busy with people dining by 1.30pm. The food was delicious! Great portions and was impeccably presented. The decor of the pub was also brilliant, very relaxed country pub style with a touch of modern and some entertaining signage also. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal team and we hope to be back soon.
Visiting on a rainy Sunday evening, I was warmly welcomed as soon as I entered the door and offered a choice of tables. Before heading to my table I was asked what drink I would like. Delightfully they offer 3 different ciders which is nice. Soon after sitting down my cider was bought over to me. Food wise I went for the Beef Lasagna, which after a short while arrived. I can only say that it was one of the best I have ever had. It was rich, tasty and filling. The garlic bread was also delicious, so far so good. I was then tempted in to having sticky toffee pudding, which was equally delicious. The bill came to £26 which I thought was very reasonable. The staff here are wonderfully welcoming and warm, being very helpful. I would definitely go back and recommend to anyone visiting the area!!
This is a lovely place to wine and dine, kid friendly and dog friendly, lovely country pub is very busy in the evening, so it would be wise to book ahead in advance. Nice food to, yes would recommend the Hare & Hounds. Lovely outdoor dining area,to the side of the building all lit with lovely lights in the evening, a smoking area to the right hand side of the entrance too, kids menu too and dog beds and covers are offered to your pooches too to use.
Stunning place to eat and chill out. Food is exceptionally well presented and reasonable priced. Staff are very friendly, plus it's a dog friendly place.
Food was very nice. We went for a Sunday roast. Lovely little gem. Dog friendly. Recommended.
Really cute pub which is very dog friendly. There is a spacious carpark next door so it's easy to access. There are many tempting options on the menu, but going on a Sunday I was tempted by the three meat roast, which includes turkey, beef and pork. You get an enormous Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, plenty of fresh vegetables as well as roast potatoes cooked to absolute perfection. Only warning it is a lot of food, but when it's that good, you just need to find room for it! Sadly due to how full I was, there was no space for dessert
A really lovely pub for dinner after a day's walking in the New Forest. Good selection of food and drink. Dog friendly althought they aren't allowed to sit on your lap in the pub. Lots of seating and a great play area outside. We didn't book as no one answered the phone when we tried but we got a table with no problem very early evening
Popped in on the off chance and was lucky enough to be given a table. Thank you to the staff for being so accommodating and friendly. The roast dinner was very tasty and hot. We will be visiting again and will book next time. Thanks again for a lovely meal.
Great pub, first visit since lockdown and it has the quintessential charm of a proper forest drinking establishment. Staff all seemed on point. Didn't eat but the food coming out of the kitchen looked exceptional. Don't be shy give it a try.
Amazing lunch during pie week with home made Cheesecake!
