Visited on our way to Doerset. Husband had fish and chips, batter was burnt and really crunchy, chips were dark like cooked in old oil. My ploughmans arrived minus the apple and pickles. Waitress forgot side order of chips. No discount offered for poor quality of food. Atmosphere was dead. Could be a lovely establishment
5 adults on a Thursday night, very quiet so no long queues, food was excellent, I had the chilli burger and it was awesome, plenty of chips to go with it. I thought it was a bit pricey but that's the going rate, waitress was very cheerful, lovely young lady.. I have read the negative comments on here and have to say, all I can say is all our group have nothing but praise for the food and service
Booked a table for Mothering Sunday 19/03/2023. Arrived 10 minutes before reservation, friendly waitress showed us our table. Drinks arrived within a few minutes following by starters and then freshly cooked mains. Meals are very tasty, staff very attentive and helpful. Happy to return here and recommend it! Thank you
First time I’ve been here for food. They seemed to have run out of a lot of things - some issue with a delivery, as I understand, but it was unfortunately limiting the GF options significantly…nThat said, staff were lovely and did everything they could to find me something suitable to eat. Had a beef madras curry which was good with some extra yoghurt. nAtmosphere improved later, I enjoyed the music between 9 and 10 especially. Plenty of old chestnuts there .. nI heard there’s a good quiz every Tuesday night so I hope to get there one day!
We pitched up with my list of allergies it’s a long list! and the chef went above and beyond to make sure that my meal was top notch. Packed with flavour and brilliantly cooked salmon. The other dish was homemade pie which was also fabulous. A fab find. And the dogs were very welcome too!
