Traditional English pub with restaurant. Good beer and locally sourced home cooked food.
Our pub is a hidden gem in the picturesque village of Charlwood, Surrey, close to the Norman church of St Nicholas c. 1080. It is very popular with both locals and commuters due to our close proximity to Gatwick airport, however, you would never guess that - the pub and village are quiet and peaceful!
The pub is a traditional old english pub with lots of character, serving a wide variety of locally sourced traditional home cooked food at a reasonable price. We have a comfortable dining area and two welcoming bars with friendly staff. Three real ales are on tap, Doom Bar and Tribute, with a third guest ale that changes regularly. We have a good variety of wines, spirits, lagers, ciders and non alchoholic drinks.
We have a reasonably good sized beer garden to the side of the pub that is mostly paved but has a grassed section to the rear. It is a fantastic place to chill out in the summer and enjoy the sun. Alternatively, in the winter, come in and snuggle up close to our open log fire and warm yourself through with a pint of good ale!
Please feel free to read our reviews on Trip Advisor, the Good Pub Guide, etc.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Please note: We welcome dogs into the bar and garden area but not in the restaurant.
