What a beautiful scenery. This walk takes you from Kingston through Ham all the way to Richmond. I’m not too sure how long it took me to walk it as I didn’t check the time but have to say my legs felt exhausted : I took them on a bus on way back Highly recommending.
It's a tree on nice part of the river between Kingston and Ham. Not much to see specifically but just generally great views of river and surrounding area.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Nice park to walk through from Teddington to Kingston. Some paths get muddy. A few benches along the route to have a break.
A nice walk along the Thames from Kingston Town Centre to Teddington Lock. The Half Mile Tree is half a mile from Kingston Bridge.
The marker point for the Thames Path towards Teddington Lock, Ham Lands and Richmond. It's also very close to the Hawker Centre and the start point of Kingston parkrun. It's possible to park, though restricted at certain times.
A lovely spot for a break when walking or cycling along the Thames path. If you don't want to feel poor, just keep looking at the river! The houses here are stunning!
It's a tree! Lovely bit of river, on a picturesque bend. As others have said, come for that sure! The towpath here is fabulous. With a bit of swapping from side to side, it will take you on foot or bike from Central London to Windsor and probably beyond. With numerous great parks, pubs & cafes as you go. But the tree itself??..... I wouldn't make a special journey just to see it!
More for the novelty of being able to review a tree, but to the point, if you have reached here, you are either heading towards the lovely Canbury Gardens, with its free summer bandstand concerts and the incredible local gem that is Canbury secret cafe; or you are heading up the path to Richmond, which is one of the great walks of London, ending up at the wonderful terrace gardens, with its equally lovely cafe and sublime take-a-photo-of-me views. So basically, if you're sitting on this bench, you're doing good.
It is always so lovely to walk around here
A tree that apparently marks the distance of half a mile to Kingston.
