I visited today for a face to face appointment, without going into detail the service I received was amazing my appointment was for 10am I was seen a couple of minutes after it was due, the Dr listened to my situation, then explained what he wanted to do I was then given further unplanned appointments due to the nature of my situation and the nurse who worked with myself was thorough and again made me feel calm about what was going on. I left after 2 hours of medical help with an appointment arranged for tomorrow morning at the hospital. Thus is the reason we need to value our amazing health care system the NHS works Thank you all from the reception staff to the Dr.
I suggest to change all reception team as is very rude and unhelpful.!!!! Today 4.5.21 again person on the phone was VERY RUDE to me!! Another BAD experience from receptionist 06.02.23. I call with urgent wisit at 0810 line are open for urgent appointments and receptionist Nina if I heard name correct just told me "call after 0830 thank you bay, bay" and hang up with no asking for reson what I calling for. Please do samthing with that surgery!!!! CHANGE RECEPTIONISTS!
Speaking on behalf of a family member, Grosvenor have consistently got repeat prescriptions wrong for a chronic illness. These prescriptions should remain the same every month but they somehow seem to get them wrong and miss out vital medication. For someone with a chronic illness requiring this medication multiple times a day, that in itself is stressful enough. They shouldn’t then have to be chasing their GP practise for medication that should remain the same every month. I get that the practise is under immense pressure, and I don’t condone the abuse that the staff has recently suffered, but you can see why people get frustrated.
I don’t understand the negative reviews. I have always had a good experience, with the staff being overly helpful and patient. Special thanks to Lynda and Dr. Hinds who both go above and beyond !
I am so surprised to read some of the comments here. My experience of Grosvenor Medical Centre is absolutely first class apart from a little blip in 1990, when present staff were still children!! Receptionists have always been helpful and pleasant. If you explain that something feels urgent, they will get you an appointment that day or get a doctor to ring you. I tend to be able to see my 'named' GP but if that is not possible, any one else I have seen is always attentive and caring, as are the nurses. Making non urgent appointments online is easy as is their online prescription service. I'm really not sure what more they can offer.
This place must have the rudest, most disrespectful / unhelpful staff i have seen anywhere. Absolutely astonished at the attitude i received from the receptionists. Anyone would think they are more important than the GPs, not that they are much more useful either!
If only you could put no stars. Receptionist is rude and not friendly at all! You call about a problem and they give you a cold response like they really couldn’t care less. Not the first time this has happened. Given me an appointment for in a weeks time, was told they didn’t have anything until later in the day, but when I explained that I would be at work then the phone went silent for a minute and I could hear background noise as if she had just put the phone on the desk and ignored me. When she finally said something she became very blunt. Would recommend that the manager/boss really looks at his/her employees and sorts the issue out. No way was she helpful or reassuring. No customer service skills at all. Think the old lady needs to go back to school and learn some manners
Always been happy with the treatment I've received here, but perhaps they need more phone lines, or even better, an email facility, especially during these difficult times. Over 18 minutes wait for the phone to be answered when trying to book an annual flu injection, listening to those interminable recorded messages, only to be told abruptly this wasn't possible and the receptionist didn't know when it would be. That took two minutes. If all calls are dealt with as quickly, why so long to answer? Or may I suggest yet another recorded message saying if you're phoning about the flu injection which official advice says you should have, we don't know when it will be available? Two weeks later. After receiving a very nice reply to the above saying these clinics can be booked online via Patient Access, I spent half an hour navigating and registering on Patient Access's website and tried to book an appointment by inputting first the surgery's name, then their postcode, and both came up with this: "Sorry, we could not find any results near this location". Hmmm. Finally got my appointment on the phone - happy now!
Admin are a joke....and try making an appointment! .... I guess the draw of money is greater than the care of patients ….. with a policy of get as many patients on the books as possible …get the money from the government [ £155.00 per patient ]….and just tell everyone to wait 10 days for a video appointment …what an embarrassment this practice is … is it any surprise casualty is overloaded …. Covering for this sort of practice … The minimum annual salary for a full-time salaried GP working 37.5 hours or nine sessions per week in England is £62,269 for 2021-22 Salaried general practitioners GPs earn £58,808 to £88,744 depending on the length of service and experience. GP partners are self-employed and receive a share of profits of the business. There is potential in this role for higher earnings, depending on the performance of the practice. Working 37.5 hours a week...they must be exhausted ! I wonder what the “share of the profits” are ? … maybe they could clarify that here ?
The receptionists at this surgery are unbelievably rude and unprofessional. They have an awful tone of voice and seem like they are much better than you. The service provided is unclear, you have to ask a lot of questions to get the information you need. No customer service skills whatsoever, I would be ashamed to give such awful service. My recent phone call the receptionist hung up on me without even saying thank you or goodbye.
