The Griffin
"The Griffin is an iconic pub situated in the heart of Leeds. The pub has had a grand refurbishment but still retains its connection to its famous past, harking back to when it was a hotel of the highest accord on Boar Lane. Come and enjoy our great menu of pub classics or try one of the many beers we stock. If you like football we show all the big games as we have Sky and TNT sports."

A brilliant old school pub with a friendly atmosphere and amazingly friendly service. Had a brilliantly poured pint of farmers blonde which went down a treat on my day trip to Leeds. Very friendly staff and very welcoming. Wouldn't hesistate to return if I was in the area. I know what a few have said about the prices but it's a Greene King, so it's always over priced with these guys & it's in the city of Leeds, so it's to be expected. It's cheaper than most places in Nottingham to be fair! Like I said, would definitely return if when I come back to Leeds!
We prebooked an area for the start of my sister's hen weekend in Leeds and we were treated so well from beginning to end. The service we received from all staff was impeccable, they couldn't do enough for us and were so welcoming and friendly. We ordered sharing plates which were delicious and the drinks kept on flowing! Thank you so much for giving my sister such a special start to her special weekend. Highly recommend!
It's like the tardas inside just keeps going. Great service and good atmosphere. Doesn't have any Tetleys or John Smiths Bitter, which is strange cause it's Leeds. Otherwise, top marks.Food: 4/5
It was a busy weekend afternoon. Though the service time was high, we thoroughly enjoyed our food and the festive atmosphere. We ordered Fish n Chips, Halloumi fries, Garlic Prawns and Crispy Squid. All dishes were top notch and we enjoyed the lunch. Highly recommended.Food: 4/5
Visited last weekend after celebrating my friends graduation, we had booked a table although there wasn’t many tables when we arrived so were able to choose where we sat. The two ladies on the bar were friendly and the drinks were lovely. Unfortunately the food was a bit of a let down, waited about 35 minutes for food and when it arrived it wasn’t overly warm, my steak was also over cooked and served with the wrong sides. However the manager on shift was really lovely about it and had a fresh one made. Really lovely decor and atmosphere would definitely visit for drinks again but would probably eat else where. Great selections of local beer and a great cocktail menu
Staff were lovely, food was a little bit more expensive than local places, but was tasty. The soft drinks are extortionate. How can you justify nearly £6 for lemonade and blackcurrant? When wetherspoons are over £4 cheaper for a soft drink. That is theft clear and simple.Food: 5/5
Lovely pub! Great atmosphere and good variety of spirits, soft drinks and draft. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Great pub to watch the match in and has delicious food to offer! Vegetarian options: Veggie Burger is one of the best I have ever had
Good pub with a modern look and a very wide variety of beers, ciders and other liqueurs. I visited at night and it was a little noisy by the other patrons who looked to be in their 20's, but it gave very good vibes. They show live sports here, too.
I paid £4.40 for a coke which was filled to the brim with ice. I was told that is how management instructs them to pour them - at least 3/4 of ice. I won't be back to Greene King now I know this. Better value to not be sober.
Well a day trip to Leeds, come across impressive huge pub just 5 minutes from the train station. Met by friendly staff who more happy to explain the process how to order food etc. food was great and just what was needed after a train journey. Vast selection of drinks.Food: 5/5
