Staff were very pleasant and the food was amazing. Good size portion for decent price. Will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu
Excellent overnight pub stop for our motorhome, next to Tong Village Cricket Club, with superb food menu and really pleasant staff. Nearly forgot. It did Ruddles which I haven’t seen for ages. Would definitely recommend it. Messaged ahead on Facebook which worked really well.
Good service, nice warm atmosphere, enjoyed the food.
A fabulous Christmas lunch today. Staff were lovely. Very pleasant and welcoming. Excellent service. Great food. Highly recommend a visit. We will be back! Thank you.
Beautiful food and a.lovely little pub staff are all friendly and provide a great service
We had a really good family meal here today. The servings were generous and well presented. The staff on the bar and waitresses were very attentive and friendly. Really enjoyed it THANKS.
I've never known a pub go downhill so far and so fast. The last time I went in I wish I'd never bothered, they had one real ale, Black Sheep, it was the worst pint of Black Sheep I've ever had, on top of that they were playing loud grunge music ,I drank half of it & walked out. The previous landlord always had four real ales and you would see him regularly cleaning the lines & wiping the bar.Nowadays the pub & bar is filthy, if you lean on the bar your arms stick to it. I saw someone take a dirty glass back to be replaced with another dirty one twice. They regularly run out of beers lagers snacks & ice. Most of the regulars have stopped going in. All in all what used to be a good old fashioned decent pub is ruined.
Arrived for a late lunch, a few people in but not busy. Service was terrible. Ordered drinks at the bar and we were told to wait for the waitress to take our order. It was quite a while before we were acknowledged by the waitress, she then informed us that we would have to wait as there was only one chef. We were waiting for some time just to order sandwiches. The food was good. As we weren't in a rush we ordered desserts - it had taken quite some time for our plates to be cleared and order the desserts also a while to get the waitresses attention. I appreciate they may have been short staffed but the waitress didn't seem to care about the customers. There was no one else to give this feedback to at the time other than the barman who kept going outside.
Went last night for dinner and it was wonderful! The food was gorgeous, the service was friendly and attentive our waitress was amazing! and the ladies behind the bar were so funny! 11/10
Staff serving were lovely. Disappointing as a number of dishes were not available including no pasta dishes. Limited desert seems to have lost some of its previous atmosphere. Also no peroni on night we went it was very quiet.
