I LOVED it here. Very unassuming from the outside. A tiny hole in the wall for take out and round the corner the option to dine in. We opted for the dine-in on the terrace but ended up moving inside because it was a bit chilly. They were very nice to accommodate us as they booked inside but they managed to squeeze us in. We ordered two English breakfast teas, the full Csons breakfast and the Oaxaca eggs. I had the eggs and it exceeded my expectations it was delicious. I tried some of my partners and it was equally delicious. I'm you are in the area you need to try the food!!! And the scenery is also beautiful around. The perfect hidden gem!!
Fantastic food, one of the tastiest meals I've had in a long time! Staff were really friendly and service was quick. The location is fantastic with the views of the river.
Absolutely superb. One of the best brunch cafes we've ever visited and we've done a fair few.nnThe things we loved:n- Delicious coffee, from the local roastery. The coffee itself was excellent, but really well made too. I wish every other coffee shop made the distinction between a short and long coffee like CSONS did. Even some of the best roasters don't make it abundantly clear whether their black coffee is a strong long black or a diluted americano. CSONS nailed it.n- Brilliant food. We enjoyed some local seasonal mushrooms with excellent bread and poached eggs, as well as some brilliant scrambled egg ribbons with chorizo.n- Friendly welcome. It appears to be family run and everything was just welcoming and warm.n- Great surroundings. Stop here if you're heading out for a stroll by the river. They do great sarnies to take away.nnWe love cooking brunch too, so it's often a bit disappointing when a cafe doesn't make the effort to make your food so fantastic that you remember why you left the house. CSONS was so impressive and they deserve to do well.
The breakfast was of high quality, staff super friendly, beautiful location and can definitely understand the hype around the cinnamon buns - delicious! Dog friendly too, which is always a plus!
Another absolutely stunning meal with CSONs, this time for my wife's birthday she shares hers with our youngest, so deserves her own treat on the day!. The food was and always is amazing, as is the service.nnThe only negative for us is the odd new fad of allowing dogs everywhere. It's a real shame and quite a turn-off for eating out these days. Pub beer gardens or separate terrace spaces fine, aid dogs never in question. Don't get me wrong, we have a fantastic dog ourselves, but we wouldn't dream of taking him to a lovely dining experience where people want to enjoy great food and atmosphere. We simply like to support local, special places where our experience isn't shared with fur and yapping.
