Absolutely fantastic little place, with a perfect location, and let me talk about the food! We just had dessert and coffee, along with orange juice, but it was enough to say that these guys know what they're doing and provide the best. The warm cinnamon bun with butter!!!! Jezzzzz beyond delicous. And the season cake - chocolate cheesecake with orange! Heaven in the mouth!!!!
I’ve been to CSONS twice now. The first in summer was really lovely. Excellent food and the setting is lovely being near the river. We were seated downstairs with a nice view and the service is friendly.nnWent at the start of January and the winter menu wasn’t as good in terms of choice for vegetarians. My partner who ordered a side and the smaller main was very disappointed by the portion size which was not good value for money. The regular mains are somewhat pricy but the portion is much better. I like their commitment to good, local, seasonal ingredients and I applaud them having such a small kitchen but doing so many covers in reasonable time.nnDownstairs is much nicer than up, service is good and food is seasonal and tasty but more pricy than other places.
My husband and I and our baby had a lovely late lunch here yesterday, sharing three small plates and a flatbread from the classics part of the menu. It was beautiful! The food was gorgeous and fresh. It felt special/high end, as the food was so great, but the atmosphere was relaxing and the service was down to earth, friendly and helpful.
What a fantastic place. This was recommended by the guys a Ludlow distillery and it was great. Not open every evening so we were lucky. What a great menu, really different to the usual food. Highly recommend it. 5 stars
Best breakfast I’ve ever had.nLoads of different choices. Coffee was amazing. Great location as well. Definitely going back when we are in the area again!
