Had breakfast /brunch at Battlefield today. Lovely setting, good quality food and friendly service. But value for money - no not really. Price for breakfast was ouch! They have a lovely farm shop and a good little exhibition about Harry Hotspur and the 2 Henry's.
Stumbled across this site and decided to check it out. Very glad I did. It's a small site with vast educational value. There is a small play area for the children or young at heart. They have a bird of pray area though I did not have time to check out. The farm shop and butchery is very well stocked. Plenty of parking with good disabled access. Well worth a visit.
Superb Breakfast extra clean restaurant friendly staff and overall a great experience
A beautiful farm shop, cafe and ice cream shop. There is a diverse range of produce here from locally grown fruit and vegetables, locally made alcohol, fudge and baked goods but also great gifts for tourists and books on the local area. There is also an exhibition on the Battlefield 1403 and a falconry centre. It makes for a lovely morning out, especially when the sun is shining.
Lovely walk up to the church and around a loop. The butchers and deli, although expensive the food is nice. Their pork pies are lovely. Nice natural kids play area and a small free museum to see artifacts and information on the Battle. Nice little educational trip, we take our children often.
Popped in to Sparrows cafe for coffee and a bacon sandwich. Good coffee, local bacon. All freshly cooked. Table service ground floor seating, when busy a further seating area upstairs. Farm shop is well worth a visit . The butcher's counter is exceptional. Locally sourced produce. Easy parking nearby.
Lovely little farm shop cafe, the food was yummy, although my green pea soup was a bit on the thick side for my taste, but the chips and bread roll were great. Overall very nice.
Light bite meals excellent, coffee very good too, service slow but they were busy @ 1.30pm. Shop offers excellent range of local produce, couldn't resist sausages or scones , would recommend!
We came for the breakfast which we've had before and enjoyed. The prices have now gone up 12.50 for a 'full' English breakfast which when came consisted of 1 x bacon, 1 x small sausage, 2 x slices of tomatoe, spoonful of potatoes fritters, beans, egg, toast was extra for back pudding & drink. I won't deny it tasted lovely but very overpriced now for what you get, won't be returning sadly.
Really lovely. Had breakfast with family on Sunday. The food was beautiful a d the service was great. Feels like a real hidden gem. Will definitely be back soon and definitely recommend to anyone.
