I booked for my partner's birthday looking for a special meal out. The greedy goose has good reviews however when we went the service wasn't very good (we had to track down a waitress for drinks twice). The crab starter was tasty but very small for the price. Steak was a good option for a main, the couple next to us had a lamb special that was tiny and full of fat (also very expensive). I would stick to the basic food options because the steak and chips are very tasty, plus you get lots of chips. As for pudding the options were limited. Me and my partner both enjoy puddings but nothing sounded good so we went for a hot chocolate instead. Nobody came to ask how it was so we just went to the bar to pay and go home. The food is good but I expected more options and much better service for the price. Based on other reviews I was super excited to eat at the restaurant but I left feeling pretty disappointed.

Food was fantastic as always and service was excellent, however after three courses I left feeling like I needed a sandwich to fill me up! Very expensive even bread was £4 for two slices, a few friends all felt the same. Fabulous food just not enough of it! Desert was 1 cm of pannacotta, literally 3 t spoons. I do love coming here, it’s a real treat but I would like to leave feeling full!

Booked a table for two for my partner's birthday. Service was immaculate, friendly and relaxed. The food was fantastic as was the setting. The historic nature of the building adds to the overall ambience of the occasion. 10 out of 10. We will be returning soon.

Everywhere busy on St Patrick's Day and I had walked past this a couple of times before so chanced it that they might have a table. We were in luck, not only did they have a table but it is by far the best meal I have had in a restaurant in a long time. Amazing, so tasty and original. People are posting about the cost and the portion size but I thought it was very reasonably priced and I struggled to finish my meal. Whoever the chef is I hope they are paying him well.

I can't fault it, supreme fine four hour dining. The amount of finely selected wines is quite hardcore when choosing the 11 meal taster course, including the optional matching wine flight is one hell of a challenge. At £150 per head, it was worth every tasty penny, with superb professional service with highest level knowledgeable waitresses.
