Food was good rump steaksnService terrible, need to improve a lot- waitress acts like she won’t like to be there at all.nAtmosphere was unpleasant & cold, mainly because of lack of any window’s decorations in such a high ceilings.
Only thing tasty was the beef frozen turnip. Frozen carrots. Mushed up parsnip.frozen Roasties. Cabbage chopped so fine was very dry. Gravy warmed water . No taste at all
First visit. Just called in while passing. Glad we did. Had 2 piping hot curry of the day. Very tasty. Couldn't fault it. Saw plenty of other meals coming out of the kitchen and plenty of empty plates going back!
First time visitor, and won’t be the lastnnPopped in for dinner to check the place out for its pub quiz.nnStaff are genuinely old style super friendly and we were greeted with a warm welcomennThe food is good ole, old school pub grub without the stupid prices being charged elsewhere. It even has a pie warmer for pasties, sausage rolls etc!nnOur food was amazing, served piping hot and delicious. The portions sizes are super generous, my wife’s ciabatta was packed full of ham and cheese.nnThe mash with my pie was obviously home made and delicious as was the piennFood and drinks prices are what I call “local prices” and not over inflated for the holidaymaker market.nnOh and the pub quiz every other Monday was extremely well run, fun, entertaining and there wasn’t a”Google” in sightn
Nice Sunday carvery. Easy to park. Two plate size/price options. Good selection of meats and various veg. Good atmosphere. Enjoyed our meal and drinks, but loos need attention.
