A enjoyable experience overall. Visited one evening for a meal. Staff seated us on some very comfy chairs and told us which items were available the lamb and steak were both off the menu which was unfortunate as we were planning to have them but it was late in the evening so it's expected that some items maybe sold outnWe each settled for the chicken burger and I had the beef burger. Both very tasty and sizeable. The staff were attentive throughout the meal.nnThe only issue came at the end of the meal. There were no staff present in the dining room for around 20 minutes, I wished to pay so had to walk around looking for a staff member but was unsuccessful. I went to the bar where one member of staff was training another younger person in cocktail making. Me and a couple of other customers stood there for around 10 minutes being ignored. I understand that training is being carried out but at least acknowledge me and say something.nnIn the end, this didn't tarnish the experience too much, the meal was reasonably priced and overall we had a great time.
We had a very comfortable room with good facilities. We slept very well. The service was excellent, the staff very friendly. We had a great breakfast and a delicious dinner in the restaurant. The beer was also very good. All in all we were very satisfied, the price was fair and we would be happy to come back.
Sat outside with the dog. Lovely space with a water bowl for our furry friend. Staff were lovely, prices on drinks were reasonable, food prices were not cheap but not extortionate either. Food was nice, but we only ordered snacks.
I booked a one night stay after seeing the beautiful rooms and bathrooms on the website,unfortunately we were put in a 'Mews' room at the back of the main building. The room was adequate but when I looked behind the bedside cabinet for a socket I found dust and a piece of debris that looked as though it had been there for months. The bathroom was awful it was so small the only way to close the door was to stand at the side of the toilet. The toilet seat was stained and there was mould on the tile grouting. This one night with breakfast cost £180 for two people.
Spent 1 night In a double room. Rooms pretty modern. Bed really soft and Comfortable, duvet far too thick for summer so slept without covers. Could hear every other room as the floorboards are so creaky, but I guess it's old, so should be expected. Service for drinks seemed good, if a little expensive. Nice hotel situated in a good area. Also private parking to the rear.
