I thought it was lovely - one of many local monuments but this one has a large raised hillock all around it which we walked. A few friendly dog walkers, but otherwise very quiet and peaceful. Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Great spot for a walk from Minnowburn car park, over the The Giant’s Ring, around the top of ‘the ring’ and then out along Shawsbridge along the River Lagan back to Minnowburn. Not a place to visit in the dark as other less family friendly activities happen then. During the day loads of dog walkers visit. Just a shame the bin is right beside the entrance and it isn’t very big - not the most pleasant sight as you go through the gates
Very cool prehistoric tomb. Nice walk. Worth doing.
This site has so much history and was here before the pyramids were built. The large stones in the middle are what remains of a passage tomb a grave and some believe that human sacrifices were carried on here. It stands the test of time and the desecration that people bring to it, with dignity. I wish people would not bring their dogs, this is a historic and religious site and should be respected.
Nice place for a casual walk and fresh air. It's good for kids to run around the ring or play hiding at the center rock. Not many people there at early hour of the day but slightly busy in mid of the day especially around 11am-2pm. So do pick a good time to avoid the crowd. Make sure keeping social distance.
This is a lovely spot, well cared for, interesting in itself and surrounded by walks in beautiful countryside. It is hard to believe this is so close to the city centre yet one is plunged into deepest countryside as you walk down to the Lagan at Minnowburn. The paths are very good, well done all the volunteers who maintain them.
Always great to visit this place. A nice no cost options and a hit with the kids just to run around for a few minutes. We had some of our wedding pictures taken here 12 years ago so it holds a special place in our hearts. Tried to recreate some tonight but without much success. I guess we will have to come back again.
It's a very good place to visit. A nice quiet place with natural beauty and feilds around. There's also a garden about 10 mins walk. Nice walking and bike trails.
Beautiful spot, good amount of parking, lovely walk. Can even walk to the River Lagan.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
A great walk. It's no stonehenge but it's a nice place for a picnic and no druids at least when I went.
