Under new Ownership since Nov 2007 and recently refreshed, this small family run hotel really is the ideal choice for your business or leisure needs and with competitive room rates offers an alternative choice to the larger less personal hotel groups.

The Georgian Hotel is available all year round for weddings and other private functions, popular locally for celebrating birthdays, christenings and first communions.

There was 11 of us at the Georgian on 16th Dec, right from the get go it was a fantastic, a lovely welcome the food was amazing compliments to the chef and kitchen staff , bar and waiting staff worked very hard and polite , Brenda's the general manager very nice and helpful as was another guy that made sure all was good with the tables , also entertainment outstanding we will definitely be back for party time next year . Thank you all and have a wonderful Xmas x
Would definitely NOT recommend as meal was poor and staff/management are NOT interested. We booked a table on Sunday 23 October 2022 for my 35th wedding anniversary as we had not been there for a long time and knew it had been really good in the past. I had the Sunday roast but some of it was hot and some was slightly warm and there was what looked like congealed gravy on my plate which was very off putting. My husband had fish and chips but it was just average and the batter wasn't crisp. Neither of us finished our meals. I reported this to the waitress and she asked me for contact details, which I left, as there was nobody there that could deal with the complaint. She said that somebody would contact me but it is now 9 November 2022 and I have not heard from anyone. I got the impression that I was being fobbed off and since nobody has contacted me, I know now that I was right to feel that way. All in all, not a pleasant dining experience. I did not understand why there was nobody there to deal with my complaint and my daughter has worked in hospitality for over 10 years and she also did not understand why there was no supervisor or manager there to deal with my complaint at that time.
To spend over £300 and find beetle in ur child's food without it being took off the bill and no apology from manager. Will not go back. Sister got a free meal wow big deal wouldn't eat out this place again.i would give it a 0
The service is excellent, the venue is modern and comfortable, but we were stuck in the tiny bar area eating our dinner party of 11 because they had an event ongoing in the actual dining area! Why they still took a large dinner booking knowing they are also hosting a large event is beyond me, and we werent the only large dining party shoehorned into the bar area. It made the busy bar extremely loud and made for an uncomfortable dining atmosphere. They are also dog friendly, which in a bar isnt normally an issue, but allowing animals to trudge in and out while folk are eating dinner is just unhygienic. The menu itself isnt very tempting, more of an odd assortment of options lumped together, and this shows in the poorly seasoned, tasteless and overcooked food. Decent venue for a drink in a small group, but I would advise against ordering any food that isnt on the dessert menu!
Sorry we were not staying, but had a Xmas lunch , lovely atmosphere staff could not do enough for us , food was excellent fresh produce and freshly cooked , would recommend the the roast it was delicious, after lunch we had cocktails in the bar , WOW Service: 5/5
Regular spot for 50rpm gigs - a variety of rooms .... different sizes depending on band. Bar staff always helpful, reasonably priced too.Rooms: 5/5
My wife had a ladies day to celebrate her 60th with Afternoon tea and Prosecco and Karaoke. Brenda and his staff where amazing and gave her the perfect day. Thanks The Georgian Hotel.Service: 5/5
Stayed from 4th November till 6th November 2 nights bed breakfast evening meal. Staff were very very friendly rooms beautiful clean and comfortable meal excellent be coming again next year with Garnett's coache Georgian Hollies be proud off your hotel and staff Rooms: 5/5
There for a 50RPM gig which was great but didn't stay over. Wine not pleasent but bar food was good.Service: 4/5
