I am absolutely disgusted that last week my son who is a full time student with an exemption form was charged £380 for his dental appointment. I appreciate that the white filling cost money but the dentist asked did he want white fillings and did not explain these were chargeable and my son was no wiser. He advises that the receptionist he dealt with was unhelpful and told him it was a private appointment? This would never have happened when Doreen was our family dentist. Very poor information giving to allow a patient to make an informed decision. He was charged for his check up and clean as well as this was apparently a ‘private appointment’ despite the lovely reception member that I spoke to on his last visit advising me how to get the student exemption form
Dentist was very nice and quite thorough. However the price is absolutely extortionate. 19 year old apprentice had to pay £50 for a routine check up. Far too much and likely to be put off attending future appointments.nnIn response to your reply to my review, £50 for 15/20 mins in the dentists chair is extortionate regardless. Perhaps it might be an idea for dentists to make it clear how much the patient will be charged prior to completing the likes of a polish so an informed decision can be made. Just a thought.
Couldn't recommend The Gentle Dental more. Reception staff, nurses and dentists are all so friendly. Have seen both Michael and Peter and am blown away with their professional approach. Both are so passionate about what they do and are clearly on top of the latest research and evidence in the dental field. I am so much happier with my smile and feeling more confident in myself-thank you!
I cannot recommend Gentle Dental enough, especially Peter. All of the staff are so friendly, helpful and so professional. It is now a pleasure for me to go to the dentist as I previously had anxiety about dental visits. They really live up to their name and I have never felt pain during treatment. They cannot do enough for you and I have recommended them to all my family and friends as I have had such a great experience. They really do care about their patients.
Very impressed by Niamh. Comes across extremely competent and works quickly and efficiently whilst still taking the time to explain. Most definitely provides a gental dental experience. Feels like she goes the extra mile and is always cheery and personable and completely puts me at ease.
