Stumbled across this local delight by chance. A lovely evening of Guinness and karaoke ensued. Staff and locals were all very welcoming. Highly recommended.
The pub has just recently been taken over by new owners who are absolutely lovely. They have completely redecorated the place which was well overdue. It’s such a lovely atmosphere now with such friendly and welcoming staff. Would definitely recommend!! The landlady Becs is such a lovely character… a breath of fresh air
We visited this pub today for Sunday lunch as a group of 11 aged between 13-84! with a dog, we were all made very welcome even the dog and had the most amazing Sunday roast. The food was delicious and plentiful. The pub has been totally refurbished and has a lovely relaxed feel. All of the staff were really friendly and we will definitely be back. Thank you General Napier for a truly lovely day.
A perfect example of a great British pub; full of character, characters, and charm. The Saturday night karaoke only added to the fun. We were made to feel really welcome and will return. Sorry for dancing on the tables. Thanks guys.
Lovely little family friendly pub. All the staff are so warm and welcoming and they have great little karaoke nights/charity events every month which are always such fun and a great laugh. My family have been using this pub for over 40 years :
Lovely pub - really friendly and welcoming and we had a great Sunday roast. Highly recommend the beef! First visit for us but we'll def be back!

Such a lovely genuine pub. Great burgers and roasts at the weekend. Quizzes, karaoke, darts and lovely lil beer garden for summer BBQs. So happy to have a new local run by such welcoming people.
