I love this place! One of the best pubs in Kingston. The new landlady Nicky and her team, have made the pub really lovely and welcoming. Stunning views over the river, friendly customer service and a relaxing atmosphere. Not to be missed. Pop in for a pint or two next time you’re walking along the Kingston river front.
Lovely friendly bar. Staff were amazing. Food was excellent. We had the beef Wellington which was the best I've ever eaten. Nicola the landlady was very welcoming and Charlie the bar man was very attentive and comical. Will be back next week for dinner after Christmas shopping. A definite yes from us.
This looked like a nice place with a decent menu. I went up to the bar as the door banged behind me and the barmaid asked what I would like. I ordered and paid for a drink, then asked about lunch. She told me that, unfortunately, the kitchen was closed for lunch today. I drank most of my drink and left. What good is a pub with a closed kitchen?
Lovely pub. It has an amazong view of river and is a wonderful location during the summer times. They have great drink choices. Staff seem really nice and have great customer service skills. Ive knocked over my drink quite a few times amd honestly they have dealt with it in a professional manor. Would generally recommend a visit here
Went today with friends was planning on having lunch there ordered 2 hot drinks while looking over menu both were cold returned them to bar waited ages for new ones the marshmallows that came with the hot chocolate were as hard as bricks another friend had a wine very small and nasty was £6.20 and my friend who had alpine lager had to return it as was off! Hence we decided to go elsewhere no apology or anything Food & drinks: As stated above awful
I couldn't believe my experience at this pub. We had booked a private area about a week in advance. Told them it would be for a lot of people. We arrived and at least half the taps were off. I ordered a beer. That was finished too. I ordered another beer, that was finished. I would say there were at least 5 lines finished...on a Friday night. I had to have the last beer they had left. £6.70. To make it worse, the people serving were in training and seem to have never seen a pint of beer in their entire life. The serving was awful. To it top off, a bottle of beer was £7.10. Criminal, I don't know how you can justify it.
Around 7:30 pm tonight 18/08/2022 , me and 2 of my friends we are asians by the way went to this pub and ordered drinks, with us is 2 boxes of sushi. While we were drinking and waiting for our ordered food we decided to eat the sushi , then suddenly this lady staff named Nichola shouted on to stop eating the sushi, she was really rude and totally hostile and we felt embarrassed. She belittled us and she was very racist. The situation could have been handled differently. She should have not raised her voice to us. Her action was very discriminatory and socially racist. She did not apologise for her action. We removed our food from the table but still she continued to be rude to us. We left the place and we did not eat our food due to embarrassment. I will not suggest for you to drink/dine here. Not a good place to go, sadly they have a nice view of the river. Jinx on them. Bless her poor soul.
Under new management come and sit in a relaxed environment great choice of organically brewed cold beers ciders & stouts. Fresh food served daily.
Treated unfairly by this lady who works in the resto just because we brought food in. We bought our drinks from this resto. Could have told us in a nice way but she was speaking loudly getting other’s attention. We ordered food after, and still was really rude to us. The people in the next table laughed at us and even talked about us. Humiliating customers is not necessary!
Lovely pub recently under new ownership. Great selection of drinks and a prime River View.
