The 2 for one at £8.99 is excellent i always enjoy the gammon and chips with pineapple rings or two eggs Main food is hot but side dishes can be tepid. The fish and chips on the main menu is quite humongous see picture ,staff are generally very good and helpful
Good meal out! Staff are friendly and attentive, making sure everything was to our satisfaction. Food was nice and hot, as well as being decently priced.
very friendly staff and great price beer only had a drink here also have a great meal and stack and desert to choose from the menu has nice garden view here
Food was excellent but the service was abysmal. Was seated straight away and was left there. Other tables after us were served straight away and asked if they would like drinks. We had to fetch our own drinks and a waitress after 20 minutes of waiting., even had to find someone so we could pay the bill. All this while the manager was showing people photos of his children and rabbiting to other customers. Shame as we were regulars.
Tired looking inside and out. Maybe completely different on another day but today was not very good. Only one chefand he didn't seem that enthused so unless booked, carvery was all on offer. The food on the carvery looked like it had been there drying out for hours. On a good note, the table staff were polite and friendly. We only stopped here to break up a long journey home so maybe just a bad day,
Very nice place to meet for coffee and snack. Ordered a starter for two and asked for some sweet potato chips on the upgrade 99p price as I had not tasted them before and a large portion was £2.50. Was told I could only have the upgrade price of 99p if I was having a 'proper' meal and wanted the sweet potato chips instead of ordinary chips. I didn't want to pay £2.50. In case I didn't like them but I suppose 'rules are rules'. Good service and pleasant staff.
Good Food but just not enough staff to serve the paying customers, no-one at tills so waited 5 minutes to place order then waited another 25 minutes for 2 Combi Feast starters to arrive at our table, and we weren't the only ones waiting, so decided not to order our mains and left after we had finished our starters. It may have been a staffing issue due to illness or something but only saw 3 staff which is not enough especially during school Half-term.
Friendly helpful clean unlike Guild!! Partner and I went here last night after a very long journey and a busy day we hadn't eaten we just wanted familiarity. Lovely lady greeted us and showed us where we will be seated. Minutes later another lady asked for our drinks order.. we had a lovely meal and dessert and couldn't have asked for a better service. Crazy how 2 restaurants owned by the same company 6 mins apart can be so different. This place was so busy and yet you where still made welcome and still sat at clean tables with staff on hand to offer help Thank you for the lovely meal and service. If this way again will definitely pop in again..
Would definitely recommend for any occasion. Food served is great quality and staff are very friendly especially Mike who's always very warm and welcoming and gave good recommendation of food. Josh please make sure staff tend to customers before cleaning table but as was training new staff this can be forgiven. Would possibly be good to have refill drinks machine in middle of restaurant so I don't need to walk as for but worked up an appetite for the wonderful food.
Typical pub grub but can be hit and miss. It's great on buffet nights if you can get a busy night when the food is replenished quickly so it's fresh but if it's quiet then it can be left sitting around for a bit; at the same time I found when it is quite it actually takes a while to get some of the food that is low or all gone. Pros & Cons I guess of the buffet. Service is pleasant enough though.
