A simple one track train station with a ticket office and a ticket machine outside, the ticket office has a small shop and there is a sheltered seating area trackside.
Very awesome single platform station just adjacent to the bus station/shopping center so that means that I do not have to walk very far from the bus station/shopping center to the train station. Better than Worcester really as in Worcester you have to go through more traffic but still both Worcester and Redditch are both good.
Most good shops are closing cannot get anything if you got a cockatial no food ,millet, or sandpaper Wilkos stocked all that .
Terrible customer service...asked the man inside the ticket booth for info on a delayed service on whether there are any ongoing further possible delays due to an earlier signalling issue between Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton, he could easily have investigated as there was no queue at the time and instead he just told me he couldn't advise and I wouldn't know until I got to New Street...rubbish. Time of enquiry made just before 6pm on 28th October should the relevant authorities wish to investigate the employees conduct, and he could perhaps be trained/re-trained in customer service as he is currently an utterly miserable individual who is not a good representation of whoever runs the station.
Only a disabled toilet at this station which is ridiculous. The do gooder at the ticket office wouldnt let us use it either....
