We held a wake at the Fox Inn, Newbourne yesterday after a funeral service at the nearby Seven Hills Crematorium. I was very impressed with the service, the ladies behind the bar were really helpful and friendly, they laid on a lovely buffet for our guests, and readily adapted some of the food order to take account of guests who were vegan and those who were gluten free. There was an annex area reserved for us and it provided a great space for everyone to easily mingle, chat and reminisce about our departed relative. I can highly recommend the Fox Inn for such an event - good location, pretty setting, wonderful staff, plentiful parking, good food and a very friendly atmosphere. Thank you so much!
I first found this pub when on a short cycling tour following the first lockdown. It impressed me then and revisiting with my wife it’s just as good. Lovely location, great food and good service. Stuffed foxes not too everyone’s taste these days but well worth the visit!
Beautiful looking pub with a lovely garden and seating outside. Inside is very nice lovely venue for a special event. We went for breakfast and it was fantastic definitely recommend. I really hope to visit again when next in area.
Quaint country pub with a good selection of drinks and food. The food can seem expensive initially however there is an app that potentially gives good discounts depending on the day. Friendly staff and would visit again.
Had lunch here, the steak was literally amazing, definitely the best steak I’ve ever had, i asked for just the medium rare steak with a side salad which they were fine with. Service was great and the staff were lovely :
Beautiful pub in an idyllic countryside spot next to a footpath that takes you through the nature reserve. £9.10 for a pint and a coke meant we didn’t stay for a second round.
Lovely spot around the corner from the old family farm. Excellent lunch and the best chips fries to you ‘mericans I’ve had since moving back.

Visited this lovely pub again Sunday May 29th 2022 for a meal and it didn't dissapoint we were greated by Dylan who served us with drinks while we waited for our table to become free. After a few minutes Dylan showed us to our seats the restaurant area was busy but it didn't make you feel cramped in which is a good thing. We ordered our food and waited about 20 minutes for it to arrive. The food was Fantastic it was at a good temperature and the portion size was just right. Once we were finished with the main course we had desert once again this did not disappoint great portion size and it tasted great! Overall a fantastic meal spent with friends at The Fox Inn will definitely visit again and definitely recommend visiting. Cheers A lovely pub were you can relax have a few drinks and get some grub. With friendly staff and a nice atmosphere thoroughly recommend a vist.
Wow amazing wish I could give 10 stars. Food was unreal and the staff were very attentive polite and just generally happy to help, I have a nut allergy and there was no issues with asking about any allergen. Normally you go to restaurants and have to look at a tablet or some sort of paper but no messing about just a no it doesn't. We were with a large party of 21 and I can't thank you enough and the food was divine. We will be back one day. Thank you so much. A lovely pub and restaurant freindly staff nice food nothing to disagree with and I bet it's lovely in the summer .
