Called in for a pint and some lunch and relaxed in the beer garden. Service was a bit slow, but to be fair, there was no hurry. The open crayfish sandwich was amazing, so sweet and delicious. Staff were friendly. The only think that let's it down is the price of the drinks. A pint of shandy for £4.80.
Popped on the way past after visiting the Orford castle nearby. Staff were amazingly accommodating and friendly. Dinner arrived fast, and portions were very generous. Pinning this place ready for my next visit.
Great pub in Orford near the quay. Very friendly and helpful staff who despite the restaurant being fully booked up and staff shortage arranged for the chef to knock us up a couple of portions of chips and some bread - which we ate in the sunny rear beer garden wife said that the Adams wine was really good = recommended
Me and my family love the jolly sailor. Amazing food and amazing service. Really down to earth and like to have a laugh. Highly recommend- 5 stars! We have been many times before but recently they managed to fit a last-minute party of 11 in for my parents' wedding anniversary and they were so helpful and accommodating. Will be back soon. Thank you to all the members of staff.
Nice pub garden. Sunday roasts were good but meat pork a little tough but plentiful. They need to give customers cutlery as food arrived with no cutlery and then had to wait for cutlery to arrive whilst dinner got cold. Understaffed as plates not collected from our table and others
Stayed at the pub 16-12-22 till 18-12-22 . Had a fantastic time. Food absolutely first class. Couldn't find fault. Were made very welcome and made to feel we were the only people there. Beer perfect . Can't recommend highly enough .will definitely be going back .
Wanted a hearty meal to eat midday day and the Jolly Sailor provided. Excellent home cooked food with quality ingredients and lovely service topped with quality ales. What more could you want for? The beef and cheese pie was excellent!
Great lunch good traditional fish and chips very nice...the morning breakfast menu looked very good the local kipper's for me on a return morning visit
Having been an occasional visitor to the Jolly Sailor over the years I was delighted to find that the food was much better than I'd been led to believe, it was well done gastro style pub grub without any pretentions. The staff were absolute stars and I'll be arguing with anyone who says it's not a good spot to eat.
Tables were in the lovely open garden, nice atomosphere. We all enjoyed the delicious foods. The saussges in the kids' menu, were great as my children exclaimed about the huge size and juiciness. Burger was top quality.
